Kaleido House: king bed, close to Springs/Park

The two bedroom/one bathroom “Kaleido House” is the largest unit in the Zilker Vacations family. It features by far the most original art and colorful decor to go along with the spacious tall ceilings.

The Kaleido House is located just .44 miles to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool, the perfect location to enjoy everything that Austin has to offer. There is easy walking access to many of Austin’s famous restaurants as well as the outdoor paradise that is Zilker Park. Take a dip in the 68 degree waters of Barton Springs after enjoying a hike through the Barton Creek Greenbelt or a stroll around Lady Bird Lake. After a day outdoors, you’re only a short way back!

The vaulted beamed knotty pine wood ceilings make the over 1000 square feet seem even bigger. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle cooking big meals, and the Whole Foods world headquarters and Trader Joe's is approx 2 miles away. Several smaller convenience stores are blocks away.

There is a king bed with Temperpedic mattress in the master bedroom and two XL twins in the second bedroom, which can be made up as a king upon request.

Other amenities include: fresh coffee (organic local Ruta Maya) and tea fixings, washer/dryer and detergent, bath and beach towels, and a Britta water filter to keep fresh water in the refrigerator. There is a gas grill on the deck and tools and grate covers in the kitchen.

Quiet Neighborhood Close to Everything

Kaleidohouse was a clean, cozy property with all of the amenities one could want. Walk to Zilker and Barton Springs. Less than a mile from great restaurants, JuiceLand, and coffee. Very responsive hosts. Highly recommend!

A Precious Peaceful Place . . .

Under the Oak tree Out on the deck was our favorite place to hang out. When the weather is Nice, honestly, there is A Healing Energy there that whispers "Relax, bathe, nap and just stay Right Here."

Really cute place in a great location to explore Austin. Equipped with all the necessities.

We really enjoyed staying here for a week. It was just a great location for everything we wanted to do. Close to Zilker Park, downtown, and all the stuff on South Lamar. The unit is well equipped for a short or extended stay and the owners provided great communication and information up front. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Every year when we visit our family in Texas, we stay in one of zilker vacations rentals. They are hands down the very best place to stay. They have wonderful space and great decoration and they provide so much pre stocking. We would never stay anywhere else in Austin

Excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was comfortable and well appointed. The managers were very easy to communicate with and more than obliging if we needed anything. Great to know you can bring your toddler and dog and have that be easy for everyone. It's a lovely area, close to the park and Barton Springs and also nice to just walk around the neighborhood. Would absolutely book here again when staying in Austin!

Kaleido House is fantastic

The Kaleido House is perfect for a stay in Austin. Location is great and everything you need is already there. We walked to the running trail that goes through Zilker Park every morning. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee that was provided while watching the squirrels and birds was very relaxing. Can’t wait to return to the Kaleido House for another Austin trip!

Cute accommodations/Great area

Needed to switch spots with addition of pets. Hosts were very accommodating and found another spot that worked well in same area. Had a little hiccup with that, but again, host very accommodating to find us another spot. Ended up in Charlie which was super cute and suited our group well. Absolutely love the zilker area! We’d definitely book with this host again. Thanks!!

Comfortable,colorful and complete

We found the house just as described, with everything we needed for a get away to attend a family celebration. We ate meals out, again because of the family obligations, but the kitchen was well equipped. We were delighted to see our favorite tea in the cabinets, and a wonderful supply of fresh coffee beans. Even a Brita pitcher of cold water waiting for us in the fridge as we arrived. The washer/dryer are modern, and efficient, and the iron & full sized ironing board were really helpful. The house was plenty roomy for four adults, and conveniently located, it was easy for us to get to all the planned family activities. And the kaleidoscope was amazing!

Clean, convenient and comfortable

Our family of four had a great time staying at the Kaleidoscope house. The house is conveniently located to central attractions in Austin. Since we have little kids, the Zilkher park train and park were a big hit! The house was clean, warm and accommodating for a family with two young kids. We had a hard time finding a rental that had twin beds for our kids to sleep in, but this one fit the bill! I also liked that the bedrooms could easily be made dark despite day light savings time (important when you have little ones). The only piece of the house that was not my favorite (but was clearly communicated in the listing) was the bath tub/shower. The tub has very steep steps and is awkward to get into and out of. You definitely need to be able bodied to use the tub. That said, I would definitely be willing to stay here again and would recommend to others!

Ideal Vacation Spot

The Kaledio house was perfect for our family! The unit was incredibly well-equipped and Cynthia & Peach were wonderfully communicative and accommodating. They provided so many extras - beach towels, sunscreen, coffee, books, toys, games, toddler bed rail, toiletries, and more. They clearly put a lot of thought into making their home a comfortable place to stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and we loved being so close to Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Peter Pan Mini Golf, and Butler Park.

Great Location, Great Duplex

The location of this duplex was awesome for getting around town. Nice view of downtown from the front porch! The duplex was quiet, comfortable, and equipped with all of the essentials we needed. The beds were comfortable!
