"We stayed at Le Grand Miramont for a few nights during the holidays. The upstairs rooms were nice, the area is quiet, and the property is pet-friendly.Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. Despite advising the host we would be at full capacity, bedding for the sofa bed was not prepared and had to be located by us in a blocked closet. The sofa bed and couch were in very poor condition, with ripped cushions and damaged foam.The basement bathroom is essentially a public bathroom with missing wall tiles and toilet stalls. Two of the five bathrooms did not have functional locks, and one exhaust fan was not working.The floor plan provided indicated three kitchens, but there was only one. Although three washing machines were available, no laundry detergent was provided. We were told to use dishwasher liquid instead, which raised concerns about cleanliness and how guest linens are washed. The host was also unresponsive when we requested additional toilet paper.There were multiple undisclosed extra fees. Firewood was not included despite a winter stay and was offered only at an additional cost. This was a first for us, as firewood is typically provided in similar rentals. We also asked, as a courtesy, whether early check-in might be possible if the unit was already cleaned and ready. The host refused and insisted on a fee of 150/ hour.Given the very high price, we expected much better condition, transparency, and service"

"Amenities are basic, but the room was clean, space was adequate, check-in / check-out was hassle free (aside from the need to create an account with their management system), and everything was functional. Would stay again."

"Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour. L’endroit est très calme dans un bel environnement. Le chalet est tel que décrit. Il est bien équipé et le spa est bien agréable et facile d’accès. C’est un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Notre hôte répondait rapidement à nos questions.Nos promenades à pied au village étaient bien agréables aussi."

"Parking is on the side of the road (little spot for car). Many steps to go up and down to the cottage to unpack. Oven dirty. Old coffee grounds still in coffee maker. BBQ really dirty, grills rusty and no propane. Hardly any room to put clothes in the one and only wardrobe as many items in it (i.e. life jackets, etc.). Cottage next door under construction for day 2 and 3 all day so no sitting outside due to noise from crane digging. No bath matt. Not lakeside as stipulated on website (en bord de lac). Cannot see the lake from the cottage. Two trails to the lake were very steep. Pedalos were upside down, seats removed and sitting on top along with 2 kayaks and on a small incline. Could not lift (we were 2 woman in late 60's) and bring to lakeside as too heavy, so unable to enjoy the lake. Although not the owner's fault, day 3 power failure at 4pm due to storm; could not find emergency candles or flashlights. Had to use cell phones for lighting. Sent message to owner but no reply until next day. Had to go buy candles at depanneur in pouring rain. Day 4 still no power at 9AM and hardly any water to flush toilet or use sink. Lost all our food from the freezer. Had to get our morning coffee from the depanneur. Not knowing when it would come back and no use of toilet or cooking, we packed up and climbed those awful steps to bring everything to the car and left that morning. Owner apologetic and thanked us for our understanding. Very disappointing considering the price."

"The chalet was fantastic! We had an amazing time! The only thing we weren't expecting was that the bedrooms were in the basement. I could've just missed that in the listing though. The bigger room had the direct access to the jacuzzi, but you can get to it just fine from the deck. The area was spacious and quiet. Everyone slept amazingly. It was our first family vacation with our 4 month old. The deck has amazing shade for those hot afternoons, baby was fine in her chair with some bug stickers. Would 100% rent again. Thank you to the host for making this a memorable stay! "

"Could definitely be better- first we were told that the check in was delayed by 1 hr due to delay with departing guest , we waited in nearby mall - then one of the unit AC was not working at check in - then the electronic lock was beeping all night due to battery issues- once they change the battery- the entry code stop working- after Czech"
