!!! COZY APARTMENT 500 FROM THE PALAIS DES PAPES !!!

  • I tried to decorate this apartment with taste and comfort so that each of the guests felt good there. It has air conditioning, essential in summer.
    Towels, sheets, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, hairdryer ... available.
    Ideally located 200 meters from Place de l'Horloge and 500 meters from the Palais des Papes, in a quiet street parallel to rue de la République. The building is that of the Nespresso boutique, the entrance to the apartment being via the perpendicular street. It overlooks a small (quiet) interior courtyard which you can use for a drink or a meal with the small garden table.
    Many restaurants and shops (Fnac, Monoprix, Carrefour City, bakery, banks ...) nearby.
    The covered market of Les Halles is 10 minutes walk.
    The Tourist Office is 5 minutes walk
    Avignon-center train station 10 mins walk. TER shuttle between the 2 stations every 1 / 2h.
    Always difficult to get around by "intramural" car, the best is to use the large car parks at the entrance to the city.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
I would avoid this property. The location was extremely convenient and the price was low, but you must be willing to accept some very negative details in exchange for the convenience. My major complaint is that the owner failed to respond to my attempts to communicate. This was not a small problem, as the door did not lock and my request to rectify this was completely unaddressed. The room was also damp and smelled of mold. It desperately needed to be aired out, but the space outside the windows was equally bad in terms of the odor. In short, until the owner acts as a responsible host, I would be unable to recommend this residence.

AVOID this property…Unless you’ve spent time in prison and you enjoyed those accommodations (there’s even a prison yard, complete with bird poo on the entrance way!) dark, dingy, dirty, poorly stocked, difficult front door lock, unresponsive host. A fridge that doesn’t close properly allowing exterior humidity to enter and condensate in small puddles inside, pots and pans missing handles no kitchen knife, pathetic little cutting board, no simple instructions on how to use the oven. On the upside -good location easily found, good shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water, but little hand-size but not proper bath towels. The previous reviewer that stayed before us nailed it but unfortunately posted after we booked.
