"The room was modern and clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful with all our odd requests. The unit had everything we needed and more. The location was great because it was so close to Whakatane city center and close to the road going to Ohope when we wanted to go to the beach. "

"Really thoughtful with every need met, from good kitchen appliances to fenced yard and dog towels (!), to comfortable beds, outdoor hot shower, and fresh towels for us every few days. House is at busy intersection as cars are coming off the highway, without cross-walk, so best for older children. Great location in terms of cafés, beach's lifeguard-zone, and playground."

"I liked the place. It’s got everything you need and check in was easy. There were ants in the kitchen, which was a bit annoying. My main concern was the bed: it’s old and uncomfortable, with grooves that meant I either had to sleep in the middle or roll into them."
