This spacious two-storey, double-aspect cottage, set within an 8-acre estate, features a large ground-floor living room with exposed stonework and two en-suite bedrooms. Perfect for a relaxed and beautiful countryside escape.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: 2 x Zip and Link Single Beds (Super Kingsize On Request) Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Front garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Rear lawned garden with courtyard and patio (shared with other properties on-site). Electric vehicle charging point. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children under 7 years old. There are unfenced lakes and ponds within the grounds. This property has a natural water supply via a natural spring.. This beautifully appointed two-storey cottage offers a charming rural escape.

Double-aspect and full of natural light, the cottage opens into a generous ground-floor living room where exposed stonework and tasteful furnishings create an atmosphere of relaxed elegance. An open staircase leads to the first floor, where a stylish kitchen and dining area opens through French doors onto a sun-soaked patio and private courtyard garden—perfect for long, lazy breakfasts or starlit evening meals. The two bedrooms are peaceful havens: the master features a plush kingsize bed with an en-suite bath and shower room, while the second, a twin that can be converted into a super king, also has its sleek en-suite shower.

Outside, eight acres of beautifully tended grounds await your discovery. Once part of the historic Furley Estate, the land now forms a private sanctuary of sweeping hillsides, ancient trees, and far-reaching views that stretch across two counties. Wander past open fields and into peaceful woodland; linger by the water’s edge at one of two large ponds, where dragonflies dance and the breeze ripples across the surface. Down by the Duck Pond, a fire pit and rustic picnic bench invites spontaneous outdoor dining, laughter and unforgettable evenings beneath the stars. The heart of the estate is the enchanting Walled Garden - home to the elegant Orangery. Light-filled and comfortably furnished, it’s a perfect retreat for quiet reading, drinks with friends, or simply soaking in the calm. Throughout the gardens, benches and gazebos are perfectly placed to offer moments of stillness and views that will stay with you long after you leave. Although quiet and secluded, the cottage is just five miles from the vibrant market towns of Axminster and Chard and within 30 minutes of the dramatic Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis and beautiful coastal village of Beer - both offering cliffs that meet the sea and every corner invites exploration.
