The views are something else, an amazing location and excellent accommodation in area of outstanding beauty. Lived in East Dorset for many years, but West Dorset and coast line is just something.

We enjoyed it and there were plenty of places to visit. Lovely places to walk with our dogs. Only problem you had to drive a long way for a sandy beach.

We had a lovely week in Ammonite cottage. It’s in a stunning peaceful location and within easy reach by car to various locations on the coast. The hosts are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. Our dog loved running around in the fenced fields and the walks down to the ponds. Many thanks, would love to stay again.

Ammonite Cottage proved the perfect base for discovering the beauties of West Dorset. The property is extremely well equipped and organised; it is furnished in a pleasingly calm style and the atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. The position is wonderful - overlooking fields and distant hills, close to a striking Roman hill fort. The general area is incredibly attractive and full of interest. Lyn and Mike, our hosts, were really helpful both about the property and about the wider region. We would love to return.

We had a wonderful time at Ammonite Cottage, it was a shame to leave.
After 1 day we were already calling it home 😊
Mike and Lyn were extremely friendly hosts, the cottage is very well equipped and the cleanliness is second to none.
Our two dogs really enjoyed the large enclosed field where they could run off the lead.
It’s location, far from the bustle of the towns and away from the road, gave us the piece and quiet that we were after. That said, Bridport, the coast and the many attractions were within easy reach.
For us this was one of the best holiday accommodations that we have ever stayed in.

Lovely bungalow, small but cosy. Nice setting in the country. Quite and peaceful. Excellent support from Mike and Lyn, very caring. Easy access for my wife’s wheelchair with a walk in shower/ wet room. Massive clothes storage in the bedroom. Good play field for our dog with enclosed fencing but bring wellies for walking. Very pleased 😀 with our stay.
