"There were so many amazing things about this property. First, the hosts, Chris and Fi were so helpful and everything was well communicated. The uphill walk with our luggage was a little tough, but the apartment was beautiful, and the views of the Matterhorn were incredible!"

"It was amazing stay in Zermatt !! Location was perfect to see the Matterhorn and go skiing. There’s no other option for us. Rooms are spacious , clean , enough of spaces to put our clothes, and great kitchen (although without microwave). We also enjoyed fire the stove! "

"Our group of 6 loved staying here! We felt so well taken care of and enjoyed the chalet with all its amenities. Nicole was very accommodating and had more than we needed for our 4 days in Zermatt. "Very cool little chalet/cabin in La Sage (Evolene). Best for 2 people max. and despite the size, having 2 floors to spread is decent. The outdoor balcony/deck facing the mountain...esp with the great weather makes in a gem. Plenty of hiking right around the village too. Will rent the larger one next time, if available"

"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"I can't think of a better home or location. The house is dripping with Swiss charm and the view of the Matterhorn towering over the town of Zermatt is breathtaking. We hope to return to this location."

"Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt in diesem Chalet! Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, hat zwei Kamine und einen großen Garten. Es gibt große Wohnzimmer, die Schlafzimmer sind eher klein aber sehr gemütlich. In den Küchen sind alle nötigen Geräte, Geschirr etc. vorhanden. Der Vermieter ist äußerst sympathisch. Ich würde das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen und kann das auch jedem nur Empfehlen!"

"The chalet was well kitted out with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was warm and had the addition of an open fire. It took us 10 minutes to drive to the slopes each day, which was perfect and meant we were skiing before 9am, with a short drive home after. The chalet is quirky with lots of different sleeping areas, the kids loved it."

De weg naar het huis toe is erg stijl en zit vol gaten, met een gewone auto (zonder 4x4) kun je hier nauwelijks komen, de bandenslijtage is groot. Met grote vaart kwamen we de weg ingereden, maar door de kuilen in de weg, ging de snelheid eruit en lukte het nauwelijks om boven te komen. "We have just returned from a very memorable week's skiing holiday in the pretty village of Valtournenche, staying in this fabulous chalet. Tori has been incredibly patient with our various reschedulings over the last year, due to the pandemic, and very helpful with tips and suggestions for places to eat out, ski hire etc. We were a group of 14 and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel very comfortable.
