What a hotel). I really loved this hotel and staff. Felt as home.

Except for the view and location nothing is worth the price, single beds are joined to make king beds on uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, soundproofing is a misleading point because you can clearly hear all conversations from the surrounding rooms. Breakfast is good, staff is respectful and welcoming. Everything else you might as well pay a $100 more for a better stay elsewhere. Location was great if you want to see the white city, grab food or walk to the sea.

This was a disaster of a stay. The advertised Seven Palace didnt exist but was Seven Gates. Once we tried to checkin the man at the desk told us they will move us to another nearby hotel. They gave excuse of no lifts..which was not a problem for us. Clearly they had overbooked as another couple were moved to another hotel in Old City. The secondhotel Atropat was a 2 star property which had extremely poor service and ameneties. There was no tea or coffee in the rooms, tv was not working. Their cleaning of rooms was terrible no showergel or toilet paper renewal..so had to ask at desk. Breakfast was the poorest I had in Azerbaijan. They left food at 8am and the hot food or drink wasnt replenished. I asked for some water and the rude breakfast staff said there was some in reception. I went to reception and they siad they dont have any. Stay away is my advice. A poor end to an otherwise great trip to Azerbaijan.
