Canoe On Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Very reasonable price and close to moose lake for BWCA trips"

Charming 2-bedroom 2-bath cabin on beautiful Bear Island lake in Babbitt, MN.

10/10 Excellent

"My two brothers and I really liked this cabin and the setting. They have a distinct Scandinavian flare reminiscent of my friend’s cabin in a similar setting in Sweden. The view over the lake is lovely and we came just as the Fall colors were at their peak. We enjoyed the quiet and being surrounded by nature. While it was a bit cloudy and chilly most of our stay during the second week of October, but this did not affect our enjoyment of our stay. I was able to get out on the lake with my fishing kayak one afternoon though I was unable catch anything. The last full day it was bright and clear and that evening we were blessed with a very beautiful sunset. What a great end to our stay!Nissa was very responsive to all our questions providing guidance on fishing, places to eat, where to get groceries and where to go for a hike. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We are looking forward to coming back again!"

Timber Trail Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"keypad entry which is great not having to carry keys around for the Jackpine queen #1. That one is closest to the lodge and shares a wall with it. We were fine with it but sounds does travel from the lodge or adjoining room. It was a low tv or talking sound, nothing disturbing and not sure if they could hear us. It is a motel type unit so sound proofing is not expected. FYI Unit 1 is close to lodge and Unit 4 is the one that only has one shared wall. Price was reasonable and priced appropriately. Owner- we met briefly was super nice and then saw him turning over rooms himself. Don't always see that and it a good thing. Property is clean and cared for, The lodge is cute and quaint, like you'd expect for a nice lake resort up here in Northern MN or WI. Plenty of room to hangout or if you need games or another bathroom to use. Small shop are for little things you might need or want. We were there for the rooms and location, but I would totally come back in other months maybe with the boat or to paddle BWCA. I'll have to see if they are open in winter. Would be a great spot to stay and go ice fishing or skiing Highly recommended, thanks for having us for a fun little hiking weekend!"

Silver Rapids Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"This is my spot for a fall getaway during MEA. Good old fashioned north woods resort. Not fancy but very clean, very comfortable, new appliances (full refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, microwave) spectacular view, quiet and dependable service. Many people had kids and pets; great for family, safe area for a solo trip."
