An amazing place to stay if you want to experience Italy’s past. The staff is very accommodating and the restaurant very good. I felt lucky to find this place to stay. One little thing to know before booking is that the access is a little bit of an adventure in itself.

This property is without a doubt among your top listings. The location is delightful and 15 mins. away from Lucca city center. In other words, have fun in the main city but relax and fully enjoy this pearl in the outskirts of the city. The room was clean and comfortable to my satisfaction. Comfortable stay with an amazing view

Short walk to walled city, safe neighborhood but most of all fantastic staff. I have never seen a group of people that are so kind, helpful and willing to do anything for their customers. We had an incident that required an ambulance in the very early hours of the morning. The night desk shift manager took such good care of us, calling ambulance, explaining to us in English what was going to happen. The hotel even sent an English speaking employee to the hospital via bike to check on us and...

Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. We enjoyed his company while we had a pre and post dinner aperitif. The hotel was perfectly located, easy access off the A11, shopping starts as you make a right out of the front door. The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails.

Great hotel and spa. We stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Far from the hustle and bustle. A great place to slow down and relax. Beautiful location in the hills. Maria at the front desk is wonderful!

Everything was clean and comfortable

The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. The property is so unique and we loved our loft room that had plenty of space for our family of 5. Highly recommend taking the bikes they have available to ride around the city. One of our trip highlights!

This is not a picture-postcard villa with glorious views in the heart of town. It's a super-clean, well-managed, airy, Best Western with free parking, helpful staff, good restaurant, free internet, and fine breakfast, 10 minutes by car from Lucca and a good jumping-off base for driving to other sites in the area. Good value for the money.

The Palazzo Alexander is the most accommodating place we stayed at on our trip. Mario is a true gentleman who is a wealth of information. This is a great hotel in a lovely town.

Amazing view of the plaza! Location is perfect. Valentina is super helpful and accommodating. She will answer any questions you have with enthusiasm and care. In summary, a great property with a great host! Would stay again.
