The boats needs lots lots of improvements and cleaning for the guests, no stairs to climb to the boat from the water, broken rails , bad maintenance. The second day of the rental we had to share all day with captain and his entire family without notice."

We arrived and everything was ready and the apartment was beautiful. We loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The rooms were decorated very nicely. The kitchen had everything you would want. It even had baking pans!! We had a lovely stay. When we walked into the unit there was a personal welcome with our name. Made us feel very special. The landscaping was nicely done. I really like my experience in the hotel. The hotel looks like a mansion that they turned into s hotel. Not a lot of people in the city might know about it it seems so if you want a taxi driver to take you back, its best to tell them to take you to the restaurant next door called 'sapodilla' It's pretty far away from the main city but there's always a bus that can take us there for $1.25 per person. There's also a nice beach outside the hotel to hangout. And a nice fine dining restaurant...

La Bougainvillea was a random choice, but we are so happy we chose to stay there. It is a relatively new venture with an eye for detail and and an engaging staff. The location is mid-point on Eleuthera and the beach is absolutely spectacular. If you are looking to get off the grid and unwind, this is the spot. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had a blast! The room was great and the beach was perfect. Lots of activities could be done. We are adventurous and didn't do guided tours. We explored on our own and did a over 6 mile Kayak to monument there. Overall we had a great time. I would say that we were disappointed at the staff at first.
