The site was lovely and peaceful in natural surroundings and beautiful scenery. River views from the pool area were just amazing. Pool area nice but we didnt get to use unfortunately. "The house is spectacular! You truly feel like you are in a museum. The location is also beautiful but it is in the middle of nowhere so keep that in mind. The home has a game room, swimming pool, reading areas and you can also cook outdoors. The only suggestion for improvement relates to the bathrooms. These are extremely small and the showers are tiny."

Please is spotless, with great hospitality and very nice staff that is always there to help and answer any questions you may have. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Property is located in the Vinho verde region so expect some travelling if you’d like to visit the Douro valley."

"Fantastic grand old property, in an amazing location on the Duoro River, brought to life by the very friendly staff. A private wine tasting was organised for us and was a very enjoyable experience. Elsa was great. It was raining a lot while we were there, so did not get to use the pool. The food menu could be improved. You can get here by train from Porto. Ermida station is just down the road."

"The hotel is absolutely perfect. The place itself is small and has a boutique feeling to it. The pool with salty warm water is perfect. The staff is quite helpful, kind and flexible since we were traveling with a baby. The breakfast is continental style for beautifully served with warm bread and fresh squeezed orange juice. The hotel room comes with a complementary wine hotel. If I had to make a couple of suggestions is to have more than one high chair available since sometimes there is more...
