"Great place to stay!"

"This was a good property for us. Close enough to walk to the city center but not in the heart so a little less noisy perhaps. One busy street along the hotel but not bad after say 11 pm. We dined here and it was excellent. The dining staff was particularly friendly and really made our anniversary dinner special. We would stay at this hotel again."

"This hotel was 10/10 so much so that I overslept and missed my whale watching tour, mostly because these people thought of everything, during the summer the sun sets close to midnight and rises at 3-4am so Iceland doesn’t really get dark but this room had two layers of black out curtains that you can get 100% darkness in the room with premium quality fixtures. The hot tub was prefilled for me and already hot! Very nice touch, the fridge even came stocked with some sodas and then everything in the room is premium and modern so you are most definitely getting a premium 4 star experience. As for the whale watching tour they understood and rebooked me free of charge. I wish I could stay at this place longer. "

"The only thing that could have made it better would have been for the fog to lift and the blue sky to appear so we could enjoy the view on the other side of the fjord even better. Loved our stay here in every way. "

"Absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel with a great social lobby perfectly located in the heart of Akureyri. Staff was super customer focused. For us Americans they have ice in all drinks including water. Wonderful happy hour. The restaurant North which is the sister restaurant to the Michelin star Dill in Reykjavik is in this hotel, make sure to book ahead. Book a room on the back side and it is super quiet. You may want to upgrade to a suite as the rooms are retro NYC sized, but a real king not two twins. You do have a refrigerator and safe in the room so while compact it has everything. Like the La Occitane amenities and they do have hair conditioner as well. Morning breakfast is continental. Very close to the Forest Lagoon and you can walk to the church. Definitely would stay here again. "
