Guest Houses in Northeastern Region

I found this place as I was looking for a central location not too far from Husavik or Myvatn after spending a night in Akureyri. We spent 2 nights at this farm house and absolutely loved it. The host family was unbelievably sweet and have maintained the property in perfect shape. We saw the northern lights from the open air hot tub. Great breakfasy, spacious acco and close to all the sightseeing nearby. Definitely 5 stars!

my stay was fantastic, I will note the door is tricky to figure out, even when staff showed me how. I will note the electrical plug in the room i stayed in (room 1) was very loose and is a fire hazard. otherwise it was a fantastic stay.

We liked style of the rooms and atmosphere in the house.

Room we booked is a room with private bathroom and kitchen. You could cook a full meal. It also has a couch. Only thing that could be improved are blackout curtains. And the TV position or rearranging the bed and couch to align with the TV. As well as having a remote for the Google Nest. Without it you can’t use the TV.

Absolutely adorable accommodations. Very efficient use of space and you're right on the lake. There's a grocery store about 7 minutes away if you need anything as well as a wine/beer store. Checkin was easy and everyone we interacted with from the staff was very kind and helpful. Awesome views and peaceful place to rest

Nice place to stay. Affordable and great location.

Loved the hotel except there's no staff there to help you. You have to communicate the entire time online. No parking onsite and you have to park in a public lot a few blocks away. It wasn't too bad but slightly inconvenient. The only thing I would strongly suggest is to provide better sun blocking curtains. During the summer the sun and their street lights are not good to get sleep. Please provide better darkening curtains or shade. The location was exceptional though and would definitely...
