If you look closely, you'll notice the fire damage at the top of the mountain. In 2008, there was a brief war between Russia and Georgia over two, long disputed regions in Georgia.

During the course of the war, the Russians launched airstrikes against a supposed military bunker used by the Georgian government in this area. These bombings accidentally resulted in a large forest fire that burned a significant amount of forest land - and greatly pissed off the Georgian people.

"The location is amazing, too many activities near the apartment. Best place to stay with family. However, 1. The hotel has to be renovated urgently. 2. Furniture is old, 3. Towels are mostly torn 4.
