C'est plus qu'un ecolodge mais une vraie expérience. Les chambres ouvertes, la cuisine pro commune ouverte à tous, la salle à manger ouverte vers la nature, les hamacs sur la terrasse ouverte, les singes hurleurs, l'emplacement au milieu de la forêt. Attention établissement pas adapté à tous. Pas intimité, peu d'éclairage, pas isolation des bruits des autres chambres, pas adapté aux enfants en bas âge car la terrasse supérieure n'a pas de barrière, confort de base donc il faut aimer, les chiens en liberté dans l'établissement etc...

Die Zimmer sind alle offen und es fliegen ständig Vögel und Fledermäuse durchs Zimmer. Sehr laut, da man alle Schritte von allen Gästen hört. Länger als 6 Uhr kann man nicht schlafen. Die Bettlaken rochen alles andere als frisch. Sehr "gschmudelig". Die Angestellten waren sehr reserviert und weder hilfsbereit noch wirklich freundlich.

Great place in the jungle above Uvita!

Great place, beautiful location! Make no mistake, this isn't a 5-star hotel, it's an open air kind of place with no AC but beds have mosquito netting and we were completely comfortable. Gorgeous viewing deck for hanging out with a beer or a book. Community kitchen that we didn't take advantage of, but many people did and it seemed well equipped. Having a car made it easier to get to but it's not 100% necessary. Great little wine bar just down the road.

The property has a definite hostel vibe. Many backpackers making use of excellent kitchen facilities in common areas. The rooms are small and spartan, but they were clean and acceptable. I appreciated the friendly, easy-going staff and their convenient laundry service. Nobody would describe the place as luxurious, but it is an excellent and economical choice for folks who can get by with less. The place has two remarkable balconies that are directly open to the forest and provide a sense of having a living room transported into the middle of a jungle! (In February) the balcony was a very pleasant place to enjoy a beverage or have some yoga and such! Nearby is a nice natural swimming hole and waterfall slide. The hike to get there is very short, but the trail is rugged and somewhat challenging. Worth the effort, imo. A weird feature: the open balconies mean some hefty cicadas and other assorted critters are common in the living spaces.

Fledermäuse im Zimmer

Das einzig schöne an dem Hostel ist die Terasse mit der schönen Aussicht. Unser Zimmer fanden wir schrecklich, die Betten waren wirklich unbequem da die Matratzen dringend einmal ausgetauscht werden sollten. Wie man auch schon vor der Buchung informiert wird sind die Zimmer sehr offen gestaltet und die Privatsphäre ist beschränkt (was uns nicht weiter gestört hätte) Jedoch haben wir nicht damit gerechnet, dass wir jeden Abend Insekten und sogar Fledermäuse im Zimmer haben. Kochen und essen ist auch eine Herausforderung mit den vielen Insekten. Sowie stinkt es aus einem der Kühlschränke extrem. Wir würden nicht nochmal buchen und waren froh als wir unsere drei Nächte „überstanden“ hatten.

Hostel ist gut besucht, biete eine umfangreich ausgestattete Küche. Allerdings sind alle Zimmer hellhörig, da das ganze Haus aus Holz ist.
