"Unfortunate that our room had been previously occupied by a heavy smoker. Windows are sealed and air con doesn’t work, so air cannot move. Otherwise it would have been a nice stay. Clean bathroom, big smart tv. Clean bedding."

"Room was comfortable with what we needed. Staff very pleasant, courteous and helpful. Could be difficult to find staff when leaving in morning. Ended up just leaving our key in room and going. Residents exit out of inn was not very pleasant. Out a back door and outdoor area untidy. For some reason our towels were removed after our first night and we didnt realise till late on our 2nd night! So no towels for night 2 of our stay. Didnt fancy visiting the bar in our pj's. Breakfast is one price, just over £10, whether you choose cooked, or cereal. Could improve this. But mainly a comfortable stay. "

"Unfortunately the room I was in the shower curtain was covered in mold and stank out the room when I heated the shower up. Unable to open the windows the room was full of the smell mold and gave me a sore head and made me feel sick. Woken to the sound of someone spitting in the hall way. It’s cheap for a reason. "

"The rooms were so dusty and not properly cleaned. We had to ask for different rooms twice and each rooms were as dirty and unclean as the previous ones. Even in the reception area there were so many dirt on the floor, cobwebs at the other side of the hotel. Goodness if not I spent just a night I would have requested for a full refund. Although the staff were friendly but the uncleanliness of that place was not something to be accepted. "

"Perfect place to stay with a dog. The mattress could do with an upgrade but otherwise very comfortable although there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning products in the accommodation. Food is excellent. "

"Although the house was on a fairly good location, the house needed total renovation. The description was inaccurate. The kitchen had no range just a hot plate. It had two microwaves. One did not work and was taking away much needed counter space. It also had an area that was about 2-3 inches lower than the rest of the floor which caused tripping hazard if not careful. The lighting in the kitchen was with lamps the put out very little light.There was no dining table. The whole house was severely cluttered and had so much unnecessary furniture that it looked terrible.The sofa was worn out and should have been replaced long ago. The house had so many area rugs that one couldn’t even see any carpet.There was no walk in shower. The toilet setback was wrong so the seat would not stay up by itself.There was no address given for check in and no address visible on the outside of the house. We had to call the host to get a location.The bedrooms were small but that was mostly due to too much furniture cramped into the small rooms. The bedrooms were both upstairs with the bathroom downstairs.The photos on the Vrbo website were almost all of things that didn’t apply to the house.We have stayed at numerous vrbos over the years but none like this one. This was a place we would never stay at again."

"The place looked quite ominous and derelict with poor signage. There were signs asking for car parking payment, although parking costs were included in the accommodation package. Reception staff did nothing to help clarify this, indeed adding to this confusion for a short while. The accommodation was not as described. Which is really my main gripe. I have nothing against under-par, or budget accommodation, but it helps forward planning, to get what is expected from a description. In our room, the floors/carpets were stained and unclean, with the previous visitors' rubbish remaining under beds and next to bed settee. I wore slippers during my stay. The toilet-paper holder was broken. Apparently there was poo on the toilet seat (my partner cleaned it before I saw it). The rail for hanging clothes was absent (broken off). The kettle switch was faulty. There were no welcome instructions, literature, teas, coffees, milks or sugars etc. On the plus side, the reception staff were pleasant enough; the bed linen and towels were clean; the shower was good; toiletries were provided, and inner curtains were clean and provided so the room was dark enough during the night. The window opened. The place was quiet. So I slept well and left as early as I could in the morning. Short drive to a nice deserted beach."
