"The bed was comfortable, but well used. Bed had a slight sink hole in it. Breakfast was not impressive at all. Only hot item was a pancake machine that made 3” pancakes & was very slow. To me breakfast is important to start the day off right."

"Wonderful new place that was perfect for our stay. We were in the area for a golf tournament and looking for a place where all four of us could stay together during our down time. A nice peaceful place away from any commotion. If in the area we would definitely stay there again!"

"We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin had everything we need needed. Lake was quiet, saw the eagles and a hawk. The only negative I would add is the stairs in the cabin are too steep. Bringing the laundry down for the housekeeper shouldn't be the job for the guest. This is the first time we have ever had to do that at a VRBO."

"Nice cottage for a couple's stay. Lake is great and view from the cottage, firepit and dock is gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We rented their pontoon for a little fishing and sight seeing and it's in great shape and a nice large space for us and our dog."

Charming Balsam Lake Waterfront Cabin / Cottage-Twinhome

"Girls get away weekendLocation, location, location!!! This is it. Good driving distance to towns, hiking trails, pAddleboat excursion. The vacation rental has a nice grassy flat yard and a grassy area that sits right next to balsam Lake. Even though we did not have boat or fishing activity… It was gorgeous to sit outside on the porch swing and enjoy the lake activity. It is a cozy cabin, but adequate. The host has utilized every inch. Love the exposed wood ceiling, beds were comfortable and each bedroom had a dresser shelving and closet space. The kitchen had all the cooking essentials which we appreciated as 90% of the meals were made at the cabin. The kitchen is small, but we made do. The dining table provides wonderful lake views.There was adequate living room furniture. Outdoor furniture on deck was nice with outdoor accent lighting. We played many games out there. The gas grill was great for grilling. Check out Instructions are a breeze. The host was wonderful and easy to work with though we did not have issues. We reached out to him for recommendations and he always responded quickly. would definitely return to cabin and this beautiful area. So much to explore and trails not hiked yet Thanks for opening your cabin to us South Dakota flatlanders!!! Enjoyed trees and lakes, although there was plenty of soybean and corn fields to remind us of home."
