"The hotel staff were so kind, they upgraded our room for free after hearing we were there for a funeral. They hotel was very clean and updated interior. The breakfast area is large and open, plenty of places to sit even with big groups. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"We absolutely loved this property for our family reunion. The cabin is so beautiful with a rustic charm, but plenty of modern conveniences all at the same time. Comfy beds and plenty of them! We played games, ate so much food, watched sunsets and moonrises all in comfortable surroundings. We will absolutely return. Easy communication and so many cute notes all over the house giving us directions and giggles. "

"Cleaning staff opened my door 20 min before checkout time and ice machine was broken. Other than that it was perfect and will come again. Beautiful building. Love that there’s a bar and diner inside."

"We love visiting Lava every year. Last year we found a last minute booking at the home hotel. It’s a little older than some of the hotels but Tracy (front desk) made it awesome. We were so happy when she called the day before our booking to make sure we were coming. The only thing I asked is if she was going to be there . She truly makes it feel like you are staying with relatives - all the good parts, none of the annoying parts. Thanks Tracy and we hope to see you next year. "
