"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Stay at The Leaf on The Sands by Katathani — Khao Lak I am currently staying at The Leaf on The Sands by Katathani in Khao Lak, and I have enjoyed my experience here so much that I still have another two weeks of my stay ahead of me. After spending time here, I can honestly say that this is one of those places where you quickly feel comfortable and at home. 🌿 PEACEFUL, QUIET & BEAUTIFUL The first thing that stands out is the atmosphere. The resort is surrounded by beautiful tropical trees and gardens, creating a peaceful little oasis in Khao Lak. Even though you are close to the restaurants, shops, and everything happening around Khao Lak, the resort itself is remarkably quiet and relaxing. That is something I really appreciate. There is no need to rush. You can have breakfast, take a walk through the gardens, relax by the pool, and simply enjoy the day. 🍳 THE BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD I have really enjoyed the breakfast here. The food is tasty, there is a good selection, and it is a very pleasant way to start the morning. A good breakfast, followed by a quiet morning around the resort, is a great way to enjoy Khao Lak. 😊 THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT One of the biggest reasons I have enjoyed my stay is the staff. They are very polite, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. You can tell when people genuinely care about providing good service, and I have experienced that here. "The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels left for us, however bed sheets were only changed after 8 or 9 days, subsequently every 2 days. Seems to be a family run business. No information provided; had to ask questions from where to get pool towels to which wifi to log onto. That said, whenever there was an issue they were immediately on it. Breakfast was fine, but coffee is instant., so we only used it when we had to ie early morning tour. There is a restaurant along the main street that serves a good breakfast with great coffee, also a place that has a buffet breakfast not far. I did not find the AC powerful. We had it set to 17, as the coolest, just to get it as cool as possible, but it was nowhere near that. The wifi was spotty-some days worked fine and other days did not (for my purposes-remote work-using VPN). The grounds and pool are lovely. The beach is absolutely beautiful and unspoiled. Be sure to explore in both directions. It is not a far walk from the bungalows. The town has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and a night market. There are sidewalks. "

The standard room I had was fairly basic and needed some updating, but okay. Location was fine, only 10 minutes walk to the beach, although you have to cross the main road to get to the main street that goes down to the beach, which has lots of bars massage places and shops on. "
