Hermon Pond Studio

Located just 15 minutes from I-95 and Bangor International Airport in a quiet neighborhood overlooking peaceful Hermon Pond.

This spacious second-floor studio has on-site parking, private entrance w/deck, queen-sized bed, bathroom w/shower, kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. Sit on your deck or at the kitchen table and enjoy the tranquility Maine has to offer. Roku TV and internet are available.


Kayaking, canoeing, (kayaks and canoe available for free on site) fishing, and snowmobiling with trails connecting to ITS 84 and 82 are just outside the door. Private boat landing is available for your use.

We are one hour from beautiful Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island and one hour from majestic Baxter State Park in Millinocket.
We are 30 minutes from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge (tallest bridge observatory in the world) and historic Fort Knox in Prospect.
And there are miles of local hiking trails closer to home.

Bangor and Brewer are the twin cities of Penobscot county and are just a short drive away. They offer museums, shopping, a casino, great restaurants, bakeries, farmer’s markets, local breweries and pubs in vibrant downtowns.

Beautiful spot for a vacation!

Herman Pond is a beautiful, relaxing location for enjoying nature and all the Bangor area has to offer. Sonia is a wonderful host, and the garage apartment was just right for my husband and me.

Best stay

We loved our 2 night stay at this studio. The studio was clean especially the bathroom! We are very particular about bathrooms so this is a five star! :) we had a relaxing stay just by looking at the pond and before we go I got to enjoy the swing there while looking at nature. If we ever go back to Maine, will definitely book this again.

Perfect Maine Getaway Spot!

We had a delightful stay in this charming, perfectly appointed studio. The location was a good launching point for getting to Baxter State Park as well as Bar Harbor. When we weren’t out and about, we appreciated the total privacy and the gorgeous, peaceful pondside location. We were delighted by the little details left for guests. Sonya is easily the best VRBO host we’ve had yet.

Peaceful and quiet

Sonja’s place was super clean, really really quiet, and quaint. we could see lots of stars at night in her remote location. She was very helpful in making recommendations of places to see in the area. We had our own private entrance, and the check in/out process was super easy. Great place to stay.

We are so glad that we found this property! The studio is cozy, quiet, and, peaceful. As a surprise bonus, we could watch the sunset over Hermon Pond right outside. The host was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend you did as well.

This is a very clean, quaint and well-appointed studio on the shore of a small and very quiet lake. One thing I did not see elsewhere in the comments, is that in addition to being a very picturesque lake, the swimming is excellent. We enjoyed our stay in every respect, and very much hope to have the opportunity to return.

The perfect getaway!

Not sure what more you can ask for in a rental - the studio was clean, cozy, and well equipped, the firepit and views over the pond were phenomenal, the location is great, and Sonya is the kindest host who made the whole process so smooth and effortless. Possibly my favorite VRBO stays

The place is everything as described----and more. I was there for only 15 or so hours but it is such a beautiful and peaceful place, awash in beauty and nature, if felt like a whole restful vacation. I was in Bangor for a work training and arrived at 6am rested, inspired, and ready to go. The bed is perfect. the sectional is comfortable, Wifi top-rate. Kitchen has everything you need. Sonya is a superb host and has anticipated your every need, including sunblock and insect spray in case you forgot yours (I did!) I will long remember listening to the loon calls as I fell asleep.

Hermon Pond Paradise

It was even more beautiful than we expected. The host Sonya was so friendly and helpful. I think my sitting by the lake in the mornings and evenings recharged my spirits. Loved the quiet and wildlife available to watch and enjoy.Very close to Bangor.

Lakefront property

Perfect location for a secluded stay away from the city of Bangor. The check in/out process was one of the easiest I’ve ever experienced. The space was clean and cozy with ample amount of room to spread out. Sonya was a spectacular host and very accommodating for our needs. We didn’t have time to fully enjoy the lake, but it was a beautiful sight waking up to. Would definitely stay again if in the Bangor area.
