Bring your family and friends and enjoy 56 Kebo House. 56 Kebo House is uniquely situated on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean, and a short 5 minute walk to all downtown amenities and the National Park. 56 Kebo is one of the closest homes in Bar Harbor to Acadia. Trailheads to Cadillac and Dorr Mountains, the iconic Jesup Path Boardwalk, and the Park Loop Road are a short 5 minute walk. Additionally, you can easily hop on you bike and be on the loop road or downtown in less than two minutes.



Perched on the hillside, 56 Kebo House has a large front lawn that overlooks the ocean. It is incredibly peaceful and private. As you enjoy the large property, it’s easy to forget that the hustle and bustle of town is so close. The front of the yard includes a fire pit, grill, and a large 2 car garage. Inside the garage there is a ping pong table, extra fridge, and table for indoor/outdoor family meals.



The back yard features a lawn and a 16 FOOT YURT! The Yurt is an amazing unique space. It is awesome! The yurt features a total of 4 twin beds and a futon. This is a great space for additional guests.



56 Kebo House is about celebrating family and friends. The house was designed to be a place where people can come together to enjoy each other’s company while visiting our amazing town and island. With the house, we are trying to recreate our fond childhood memories vacationing with our loved ones.



The space:



The home is a single story home that features 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.



Each bedroom has a queen bed, the full bath features a glass walk in shower. The half bath is clad in cedar and reminiscent of Maine cottages. A pack and play is available.



There is a small breakfast nook table and counter seating. The kitchen opens to a large dining room table that seats 6. There is a coffee maker (kurig and basket drip), microwave, toaster, blender, and insta-pot. High chair is available.



The Living Room features a classic bow window and west elm furniture.



The garage attached to the home is adorned with outdoor lights that encourage family time together in the unique flex space that includes a ping pong table, table for eating and gathering, and an extra fridge for drinks and goodies. Throw open the garage doors and enjoy a great indoor/outdoor eating and a entertaining space.



The flat outdoor space and lawn allows for games of bocce and corn hole, BBQ’s and campfires. We also have games and books for downtime and entertainment.

Wonderful for a family

A lovely house with a fun yurt for our big family with children and seniors! The location is great with a sea view. It provides anything you need to enjoy Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park.

This was the perfect place for our family of 5 while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! We had everything we needed and especially enjoyed the view of the water from the chairs in the front yard. Having our morning coffee there was amazing! And the games in the garage were a bonus. We highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area!

This rental spot is close to everything! You can walk to most trails, town and great restaurants! The house was clean and fully stocked, we wanted for nothing! Desiree and Jeremiah were fabulous hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return!

We LOVED our stay here! It’s just outside of town so it’s quiet but close enough to walk. The house had a ton of amenities and we enjoyed relaxing outside. It had everything we could possibly need. 10/10 recommend.

We had an amazing week. Everything was as described and better. My kids loved the yurt and playing in the garage. So many bonus extras included like fresh ground coffee and stocked toiletries - I forgot my Q tips and was so happy to have some at the house. Highly recommend!

Incredible Property

This was our second annual girls trip, and this property was perfect for it! The amenities were the best of any rental we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the large backyard and yurt and loved sitting out front in the morning. We will be back!

Can't wait to come back

The house was exactly as advertised and the hosts were incredibly quick to respond to questions or issues. The Yurt doesn't have heat so they even brought us extra sleeping bags so we would be more comfortable. The yard was beautiful, location is close to town but far enough away that you can escape the touristy nature of Bar harbor. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great house for visiting Bar Harbor & Acadia

We really enjoyed our stay here! Very clean house with lots of details that make it very comfortable ie. extra blankets & pillows. Plus so many extras like coffee bar, local snacks & souvenirs, and tons of toiletries you might have forgotten. The house is located just outside of the main downtown area, about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to the harbor, stores and restaurants. 5 minute drive to one of the main entrances to Acadia for Cadillac mountain. Really great place we would return to and recommend to others.

Fabulous property with many "extras"

From the moment we walked into the property and started looking around, we raved about how much we liked it. It was comfortable, well-appointed beyond expectation, and big enough for our group of 6 friends. I think it says a lot that when we left our week exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia, our one regret was not getting to spend more time taking advantage of all this VRBO had to offer. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Everything you could think of...they had it!

What a tremendous stay at your home. Our son was getting married that weekend and we needed somewhere close that would house our aging parents, our daughter and boyfriend and all the groomsmen. The yurt was perfect for the groomsmen. The two car garage has everything we needed for a space for family after the wedding. Unfortunately it was cold and wet so the inside space was perfect! Highly recommend this home as they had thought of every little thing you might have forgotten at home. I had brought our gluten free toaster and my mother in law thought they had supplied that too because there were so many other details available. Walking distance from town was an added bonus. We did not feel like we were anywhere near town. It was so quiet. Owners were communicative and delightful! If you're hesitating......book it. You won't regret it.

Beautiful views and great location

The house was exactly as pictured! It was quiet, quaint and a lot of attention to detail went into the entire house. We loved the view from the front as well as the firepit and space for fun and games in the back. The garage/gameroom was where a lot of time was spend playing ping pong. We loved the snacks that were left for us upon arrival as well as the goodies to make 'smores. We appreciated all of the suggestions on what to do in Bar Harbor. We loved every minute of exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The hosts were always prompt to respond and such a big help! We would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay while you're in Bar Harbor

Overall, we had a great time at Desiree's property. The home was clean, spacious, and close enough to walk to downtown Bar Harbor. The kitchen was well-stocked, including utensils, cookware, appliances and common ingredients you'd need to cook some food at home. The furniture was great, and we were all able to sleep comfortably. The yurt was fun, but I think having the switch inside of the yurt would make it more comfortable to sleep inside of overnight. In addition, having a separate switch for the lights versus the outlets would be nice so you can charge your phone in the yurt while the lights are off. If you're looking for a large home to share with some friends and family in Bar Harbor, I don't think you could go wrong here.

Bar Harbor house and fun yurt!

We can't say enough about how beautiful, and comfortable the house and yurt were for our family! It is great to have the option to sleep away from the house if you need solitude but then have the convenience of the 3 bedrooms and beautiful kitchen and living accommodations in the house! The renovations done by Desiree and Jeremiah are stunning and top notch and high quality. Extremely clean, fully stocked, lots of fun games for all ages. Great amenities. VERY comfortable--inside and out. The location is amazing, within a block of the downtown area. Great views of the ocean. They provided a Welcome Manual that was very helpful with great recommendations. This was PERFECT for our family, including two 3 yr olds. We look forward to coming back!!
