"This house is perfectly equipped for an stress-free beach getaway, with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and other equipment. We never unpacked the tent we brought. We also appreciated the kitchen amenities, which included both a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig. (I was grateful for the array of spices when I realized I had forgotten to pack some). The home appears to be in the midst of minor post storm repairs but we found it comfortable for a group of 10 adults and loved the easy access to the beach. It was a nice bonus to have the pool to enjoy while grilling and after the beach."

BEACHFRONT LUXURY ISLAND HOME PRIVATE SWIM SPA~FISHING DOCK~GOLF CART STUNNING

10/10 Excellent
"This was a great place to stay. Took a lot of planning to coordinate airfare, Uber, shuttle, ferry and groceries but it all came together flawlessly. The vrbo was cute, nicely maintained, and had the private beach which was great. This location was known for its fishing off the dock (many boats came by and fished near here). Dolphins could be seen daily from the house/dock. The wildlife was amazing...stingrays, manatees, starfish, crabs, iguanas, turtles, and the shells on the beach were incredible. Only a few restaurants were on the island (and they are pretty pricey) so we definitely planned accordingly to cook at the vrbo as much as possible. The only concern was the PM company at certain times. When we did have an issue, they hid behind the text messages and wouldn't return phone calls. Once things were finally resolved, they were easier to work with."

"After 4 or 5 trips to North Captiva and just as many rental houses, we’ve learned that the little things can make or break a family beach vacation—and somehow, this house got every single one right. The photos simply cannot do justice to the views from every level. The sunsets were unreal, but I equally loved staring out ALL day looking out at the water thinking, “they absolutely nailed this design.” Listing photos are exactWith two little kids, the incredibly close beach access was a game changer. Hauling towels, toys, snacks and a cooler is enough of an operation; being able to easily run back for whatever we inevitably forgot was amazing. The outdoor shower/foot wash, plus a broom AND stick vacuum (possibly the weirdest things I’ve ever praised in a review!) made keeping sand under control so easy. And TWO full-size fridge/freezers! One for a week’s groceries and one for drinks no refrigerator Tetris. Brilliant.Beds were incredibly comfortable, showers had great pressure, AC was flawless, the kitchen was well stocked, and we loved the conveniently located grill. Porch ceiling fans even made August happy hours outside enjoyable!Communication was wonderful before and during our stay, and Nicole and homeowner Rebecca went above and beyond when canceled flights unexpectedly extended our trip. That meant so much to us. If you’re new to North Captiva, this house will spoil you. If you’re a seasoned visitor like us, it will remind you exactly why you keep coming back."

"We have been visiting North Cap for two decades. We have stayed in many different properties all over the island. This property is well maintained. The layout is family friendly. The kitchen is one of the most stocked kitchens as far as equipment, cookware, utensils, storage dishes etc. the main living space makes for perfect family time as it is central to the home. This house is in a very quiet area on the island. Golf cart worked great. Nice tables for outdoor dining. Nice large TV off the main living area deck. The management company who manages your arrival, provides an excellent service. They communicate responsively. Have a great guide in the home. Made excellent recommendations. After experiencing their services we will be only considering homes they manage in the future. Trust me, a great owner and management company make for a successful island trip! Well done Barefoot Hideaway!"

"This was our second time staying here and we love it! It feels homey and comfortable. We love the location and it has such a beautiful view! Our favorite thing to do is ride the golf cart around, its so fun! And he has 2 kayaks you can use, just right across the road you can put them into the water, this was really fun for us to get to experience too! The home has plenty of towels and wash cloths, beach towels, kitchen is stocked and just literally has everything you need! If you need anything at all, Rich has always been so kind to us! We really enjoyed our stay here! Can't wait to go back "
