"The house itself was clean. The proximity to the beach was great. However, it felt like endless issues with the house. The first day we got there, there were ants everywhere and all of our desserts, and anything sitting on the counter was ruined. And considering how expensive it is to have groceries this was a huge inconvenience. I had to say something to them 3 times about this before they did something. To make matters worse, the oven did not work. It took 1.5 hours to make a frozen pizza.We ordered over 1000 worth of groceries because we planned on cooking every night but it took hours to get that job done. The refrigerator icemaker does not work and the refrigerator froze everything on the left side of the refrigerator.We know life happens and things can stop working, but it was the attentiveness to us that was the biggest problem. I was never once offered an apology or compensation or replacement groceries.A handyman came out to look at the oven and told us that this was the 4th time he had been out to look at it and told them it needed to be replaced, but they are still renting the property out. We ran Completely out of water one day. After two people shower, the property has no more hot water. I wouldn’t rent anything from this host. We paid a luxury price but didn’t receive luxury care. "

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Peter’s Beach House. All of the furnishings throughout the home were lovely and the equipped kitchen was a joy to cook in. The location simply could not be better, directly on the bay side of the island. It was very clean and communication with property management was great. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the construction on the property next door. It was very loud every day from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and the construction barge takes up a large portion of that lovely view of the water. We absolutely loved this home and location, and we will be back, just after the construction is complete. "

"Incredible trip! The pictures are what you get (but in person is better). I doubt there’s many better places to stay on North captiva. Private beach, can see sunrise and sunset from the house (amazing sunset view). We would recommend to anyone. It was perfect for our family of 7 (with one infant). We will look forward to staying at WOW again. "
