"Breakfast was very good. Eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy, well worth it. Disappointed there was no hot tub, but the property was clean and the staff friendly!"

"This was such a beautiful step back in history with luxury and romance. The beds were pillow top but not memory foam, which we appreciated. The little amenities of bath robes, kuerig machine, extremely soft sheets and even a make-up washcloth (not just wipes like other hotels) were wonderful! The history all around inside the hotel was an experience in itself, then add all the shops from flowers, spa, boutique, even a bridal shop. They had main spaces with a variety of seating to maximize your social time, as well as two restaurants right on-site."

"Our stay was excellent, awesome, and exceptional!The pool, hot tub, and sauna area was perfect in every way- plus the beautiful view of the outdoors was a bonus when enjoying this area!The house was also exceptional- the layout for our family (18) was so perfect that we never felt crowded even when were together for meals, games, or watching an exciting sports game on TV!And the sleeping spaces were also exceptional: beautiful bathrooms for every beautiful bedroom plus the sleeping area on top level was perfect for all the grandkids!The deck that was accessible from multiple rooms, was perfect to enjoy the amazing views and quiet of nature.The thoughtfulness that went into creating this amazing gathering space- was evident everywhere and we all enjoyed it more than can be written!! Thank you "

"This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, however we left after an hour and found different accommodations. The room smelled like a mix of dog and must, there were building materials in the hallway, and the hot tub was out of service. A lot of people seemed to be milling around the parking lot and/or long term tenants. Overall this place was substandard for our needs."

"The property is going through some remodeling but even through that, it was clean and comfortable. Our room had been updated and was comfortable and clean. The owners are extremely helpful while also allowing us our privacy. Definitely will stay at whenever we are in Lake City!"

"Our stay was really nice, we especially enjoyed the gracious breakfast, the swimming pool could have been warmer but we are senior citizens so we are used to a 90 plus degree swimming pool at our senior club at Northfield MN. We really liked the view of Lake Pepin, beautiful! Our room was very nice and clean and the beds were quite comfortable with lots of nice pillows. Very happy with our stay and would choose it again."
