Timber-framed buildings line the streets of this charming medieval town where you can explore the historic Barntrup Castle. Nearby hiking trails in Teutoburg Forest offer spectacular views, while the local bakeries serve traditional North Rhine-Westphalian pastries worth sampling.
Lovely boutique hotel next to a forest and perched on a hill with an incredible view. At night the hotel grounds are whisper quiet and morning fog and views create an enchanting feel.

Excellent service and excellent location (plus free parking on-site). Breakfast was great as well and so was the little sauna and the pool. I can fully recommend Christinenhof.
