"Rooms were ok, very interesting bathroom. Shower opened to a garden area. We had no hot water. Batteries in tv remotes didn’t work."

"Staff here was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your help with our luggage. lots of stairs in this place. The Infinity pool was beautiful. At the pool bar they make incredible caiperaina. The restaurant was delicious. And the staff there was incredible as well. We had two different rooms here because of the stair situation. And both of them were so beautiful. The road coming up here is very rocky with lots of potholes so a four-wheel drive would be best. Parking is at a minimal for their guests. Had some issues with that for sure. We go in and out a lot. "

"It's was great stay in so many ways... the place is perfect... good distribution, perfect view, the pool is amazing, you don't need to bring anything... everything is here, The process to get in is very easy, Herve is avaible to help and he is in contact to know how is everything. "Have stayed here before several times and they have done and are continuing to do a lot of improvements. The entire staff from checking in , kitchen and wsit staff, grounds crew have all been very friendly and efficient. The grounds crew does a fantastic job of keeping the jungle and it's critters from literally taking over. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen just walking around and exploring the grounds. The food and beverages have all been very good. I'm staying in 1 of the 2 Tree House rooms and would higjly recommend choosing these rooms. Their balcony"s literally look over the Tarcolito stream and the jungle across the stream is alive with squaking Parrots and Macaws. Truly one of my favorite spots in Costa Rica."

"We had a three day stay at Lumina Valley View Monteverde in April 2025. The house is very spacious, modern and comfortable. It has an amazing gourmet kitchen (love the waterfall style granite countertop!) and a great view with a lovely, vibrant orange sunset. Lovely furnishings and decor. Also ample hot water, AC and strong Wifi. Note that this location is a little far out so not walkable to any amenities. Our host Glenda, who is a native of Monteverde, was amazing. She made our stay comfortable with the little things including some complimentary breakfast items (breads, coffee and jam) and lots of suggestions on what to do and see around the area. There was no driver available, and she took it upon herself to pick us up from La Fortuna and drive us around during our stay, then dropping us all the way in San Jose. If you're looking for quiet, secluded luxury in Costa Rica with a host that really cares about her clients, this is a great experience for you and your family."
