What an amazing spot! Only a few minutes drive from downtown Atenas, but you feel like you're miles and miles away, up in the hills in a secluded spot with an amazing view. The hosts at the hotel were exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and they had loads of great dining recommendations to offer. We'll definitely stay here if we find ourselves back in the area.

We had one of our best stays in Costa Rica at Sanlaz. The little bungalows were amazing, well equipped, super clean and comfortable beds. The views to the mountain were stunning, service was great. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will visit again.

The view and the pool were the highlights. However, it was a great property and stay all around! Unrelated to the actual property, but be mindful of having a 4WD car in Atenas and Costa Rica in general. It will make your life easier.

Hillside property with beautiful grounds, swimming pool and views of mountains, valleys, and the quaint town of Atenas. Our bungalow was quite nice and comfortable. Our host, Alejandro is wonderful, informative and speaks many different languages. Breakfast is not included but there are many dining options in town.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful, private, safe property! The home is warm and inviting with all needed ammenities and decorated very nicely! I wish we had more time to chill here. If you need a place- it is about 40 min from the airport! Very highly recommend!

Beautiful Location and owners

The couple is wonderful and the location was great for my trip to visit friends in the area. I like a bed that is more comfortable, but very nice and would go back and use th same location again.

What a hidden gem! The unit with a panel of windows was a welcome treat after a long day of travel. The property has wonderful views and is well maintained. Finally, the hosts were very helpful with any questions.
