Luxurious Chalet for 6 people, Wifi, private heated pool, at 8 min to the beach

"Villa Turquesa (number 23 Camino de las Rosas if the taxi needs it) is in a lovely, quiet area with a fantastic view out over the sea towards the setting sun and the island of La Gomera. The villa itself, despite only having the one air conditioning unit in the lounge, was always cool throughout, including the bedrooms (at the height of summer we had it set to 23 degrees and that was enough). It was well stocked with everything we needed and the owner, Alessandro, was always prompt in replying on WhatsApp to any queries we had (he also lives next door which was very convenient!)If you want hot water you need to turn the taps towards the blue NOT the red. WiFi was good throughout.Ample parking if you're renting a car.The pool wasn't heated but wasn't cold either: refreshing after a sweaty day in the Canarian sun.To get to Puerto Colon (the marina at Playa Pinta in Costa Adeje) it is about a 10 minute taxi journey (call the taxi number provided or download the app Taxi Click - very easy to use) and costs about 15 Euros. There are 3 supermarkets very close by at the bottom of the hill (you'll still need a taxi): Aldi, Lidl and the biggest Mercadona (we used that one and got all we needed for the fortnight). We had a great 2 week stay and would highly recommend this villa."

"Excellent child friendly property who have nailed family holidays. Activities and amenities were outstanding. The ground floor rooms with extra grass area was excellent. The only downfall is that it isn’t all inclusive so drinks and ice creams etc are expensive at hotel prices"

"We would rate our stay at this hotel 4/5 stars overall. I want to preface this review by saying that some of the things I mention are definitely nitpicking, but that is largely because this is a five-star hotel. When you are paying for a five-star experience, you naturally expect the smaller details to be taken care of as well. None of the issues we experienced completely ruined our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed many things, but there were enough small disappointments that I think they are worth mentioning for anyone considering a stay here. We stayed in a standard “Melia Room,” which was nicely decorated and had a pleasant overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the location of our room was one of the things that made the stay slightly less convenient. Our room was located at the far end of the hotel, and the other window overlooked the parking lot. Because the hotel is so large, getting from our room to the main areas of the property involved quite a bit of walking. The room itself was attractive and comfortable, but the bathroom was where we felt it needed a bit more attention to detail. The toilet was quite difficult to flush, which was inconvenient, and there was some mildew in the shower. We stayed on a half-board basis, which gave us the opportunity to experience some of the hotel's themed dinner nights. The Asian night left something to be desired, and the dishes were inconsistently clean. We also had one frustrating experience with the front desk regarding the shuttle."
