"Absolutely beautiful location tucked into a lush verdant hillside over a beautiful beach with some pancake rocks visible as well. Dinner was delicious ( best meal of the trip so far) and the breakfast was varied with lots of fresh fruits as well as yogurt, cereal, toast with many topping choices, and a cooked-to-order breakfast of eggs, meats, etc. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pancake Rocks trail was a 5 min drive. The room had a porch over the ocean and a cute porthole looking out towards the forest. The reception area was cozy with couches, a fire, and all glass windows looking out over the beach. It was quite chilly outside in late September but we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we ever have the chance to come back to NZ!"
