"Considering it is a place out in the country, with no stores or cafes nearby. I believe there should be some coffee/tea and especially water in the rooms. It was a very warm few days (over 90 degrees F/30 degrees C) and there was no water provided, and there were no glasses in the bathroom. The internet does not work well and I had to teach an online class which could not happen. Do not expect to connect to the internet. "

"It was different, like staying in a friends house with some of their stuff still in the room. I had difficulty finding it so they very kindly picked me up at a local restaurant I had found. I arrived late and left early but the overall impression was very positive."

Besides the very warm welcome, Erik helped us secure a last-minute dining reservation in a nearby Chateau (excellent), and that was for a Monday night, when many local places stay closed! Very sweet, would happily return for a longer stay, when we get a chance"

"We stayed here for a few days around a rugby world cup match, and it was a really lovely start to our trip. The chateau is beautiful and so peaceful - perfect for when you want to retreat from the chaos! The bedrooms are spacious and so well made up, and we were provided with evaporative cooling fans in the room to help with the heatwave. As it's more remote, you will need to travel a little for lunch and dinner, but it's absolutely worth it for such a unique stay."

"The cottage is nice but not cleaned on a daily basis which is strange and not ideal. The bedsheets are not smooth quite rough and therefore not comfortable. Quite expensive for a bed and breakfast at the middle of nowhere "

"Celine's property and lodging is just great, very comfortable room and bed, strong wifi, separate shower and toilette rooms en suite, and a very nice continental breakfast featuring Celine's brioche, yogurt, and confitures. Security is strong and parking is right outside the house. On top of all that, Celine is a very friendly host and is both accommodating and full of information about the area. We found her by accident, and we look forward to staying with her again."

There was sometimes a little difficulty finding restaurants as it was a very remote area and they even offered to have supper for us. "Accommodation was basic but adequate for our stay. Close to main town of St Jean and tram/bus routes. Room clean but very hot despite not turning on the heating and it being November. The water tank was directly above the toilet which was hazardous but other than that it was a comfortable stay. Our only real grumble was the neighbour above us allowed their toddler to continually run up and down at night and this often kept us awake until they finally got the child to bed! "
