"This place is just too special to property put into words. What a wonderful unique and quirky property unlike anything else you've possibly ever have come across before. This place has a very interesting history. We will definitely be coming back. Leave your outdoor foot ware at the front door foyer. You can only wear clean slippers or socks while staying here. Thems the rules!"

"At first, I was skeptical about a reservation at a place where no one was on site but my doubts were unfounded. I had the best experience with the owners that I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel. They were so responsive and helpful that I was so grateful. They even mailed my husband‘s favorite pants back to him."

"Clean but very basic. Very small bathroom. Chose this for the lake side location and inexpensive rate. It was sufficient, and clean, and across the street from a restaurant. Didn't need fancy, just a place to sleep."

"Initially we were very confused. Having not ever been to this area, and based on the cover page for the listing, we thought we were staying at the Hotel Saranac. We thought perhaps it had owner operated units within the hotel. Why a VRBO listing for an apartment in a house across the street would use the Hotel Saranac as its first image, and not show any actual images of the outside of the actual house in the listing seemed somewhat like a bait and switch. In the end the unit was decent. It was clean. Check-in process was easy. The owner communicated well. It certainly though was NOT the more upscale accommodations across the street."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this hose in Saranac Lake. It gave us space inside and out, including a yard to play games and have bonfires (and look at the stars!). It gave us easy access to the main streets of Saranac Lake and easy access to the Rail trail. The house was well-equipped and in good shape. We would be happy to stay again when we come back to ADK."
