Villas in Basel-Landschaft

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel.

This is a bed and breakfast a short distance by tram 14 from the heart of Basel. The owners were very welcoming and outgoing. The room I had, the Green Room, was clean and comfortable. The owners had accommodated me in a very bad situation ( passport without three month until expiration for travel forcing me to do all sorts of things to correct this) and I appreciated it. Stayed 4days/3 nights.Took some getting used to. 1st flr reception&restaurant are modern, but the rest was more medical than 'spa'. Not what we were expecting, so took time to appreciate. Rooms-simple, spacious,comfortable&very clean. Furniture in great shape. Bathroom had window to room reducing privacy. BUT you see balcony view, so appreciated the decision. We paid extra for valleyview & it didn't disappoint! Altho a little loud at times w/tractors,cows&cars, but it was gorgeous &every sunset...

Located near center of Sissach, hotel is near pedestrian walking shopping area. Room is a bit small but quiet. Staff very friendly and attentive and helpful. Beds are bit firm. Great experience and value for money.

This was a stressful trip for our family. The team at the Engel Hotel made it less stressful. They helped make phone calls where needed, let us store our luggage for a few hours, provided free water bottles, and were warm and friendly all throughout the stay. As a customer, you will also get a free public transportation pass for the duration of your stay. It was very helpful. LOVED IT ONCE I FOUND IT. MYUNCLE LIVES IN THE AREA AND WAS SURPRISED I FOUND IT. HE LOVED IT. MEALS COULD HAVE MORE CHOICES THAN FRIES WITH VEAL . THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY STAY , WE WERE GLAD WE CAME.

Super clean but the furniture is a bit old. Room was very big with. Weird layout and very affordable.
