The hotel was great! Very nice place, nice rooms. Bathrooms were all updated despite the inn being 500 years old. Beds were comfortable, there was enough space for our family of 4 in the family room. Very neat old building with the huge old wood beams. Innkeepers were very welcoming. Inn itself was quiet, but we had a little noise from the street as our windows were open and they were right about the entrance to the pub downstairs, so we would hear conversations of those coming and going from...

Just brilliant, room great, food was amazing beer great too.

The staff were outstanding. The owners, Pat and Lyn, were the friendliest pub landlord and landlady in Britain. Ruby was a fantastic host and Andy was incredibly charming. The bar itself was beautifully constructed and thye home made Steak and Ale pie was the best meal I've ever had. The home made chili was next level perfection.

Excellent location, lovely room, great food. Wo derail staff and very helpful in arranging taxis, etc.

Lovely town, very close to Highclere Castle. Short drive to restaurants. On site Pub is good. They didn't serve food the night we were there, but otherwise a nice place.

Nice property, very clean. Nice staff. Would stay here again. Greta location for Highclere Castle and Stonehenge.

Lovely place to stay out in the country

Very nice room with typical english charm. Not sure about the shower stall in the bedroom with clear glass walls! Little things like a hook to hang a towel, or something to place a second suitcase on (rather than the floor) would be a good idea. Breakfast selection was great. Nice bar area for cocktails. We did not stay for dinner so cannot comment there. Staff very friendly and professional. Plenty of parking.

Beyond impressed with the staff, hotel, and dining options. Will definitely be coming back.

The dinners and breakfasts were wonderful and the inn hosts were amazing.

Staying at Ye Olde Red Lion was a fun experience. It is probably the most unique place I've stayed with its blending of old, old and new and updated rooms. I would stay here again. We were in Arran Room which was very nice other than the mattress should be replaced. It is uncomfortable. The outside grounds need some cleaning and TLC, too. (There had just been a big storm/rain which might account for some of the mess and debris around the grounds.) Overall, an interesting stay with great...

Luxury room with all the amenities Great hospitality

Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. We found their restaurant had a...

Excellent cooked to order breakfast and a good selection of wines and champagnes at very reasonable prices. Room was clean and comfortable with crisp sheets and comfy pillows. Great for a short stay.

Traveling from the USA , this is the second time we have stayed here visiting family in the area, great location , food and staff.
