Very nice hotel. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was perfect, 4 star quality.

Very pleasant stay. I was in the area for business and this hotel was recommended. They did not steer me wrong. Highlights were a friendly and helpful staff, and a clean hotel. It's centrally located and the town was easy to get around and a short walk to the train station.

Lovely quiet spot to relax at a much more economical price than the nearby country club crowd. Felt more like a traditional B&B stay than a hotel/resort.

Grat hotel, amazing breakfast, outstanding staff

We toured Croatia and Italy for 17 days in late summer 2014 and this hotel was heads and shoulders above everywhere else we stayed. This has become the new comparison point for any hotel we'll be staying at in Europe for years to come. The room was large, clean, and well appointed with excellent finishings through out. I was very happy with my stay; the service was great, in particular one man at reception whose name began with a T (sorry I didn't get his full name). He was truly exceptional in offering ideas of things to do, how to get places, and really went out of his way to help. The breakfast was great as well, with great service there as well. The room itself was a little small, but fine and clean and comfortable bed. It had an accessible bathroom, with shower in the middle of the room for those who...

Conveniently located in the middle of the city, a block from the water -- more precisely the Trieste Cruise Terminal. We arrived via train, and it was just a short walk (20 minutes with luggage) from the station. Better yet ... the cruise ship that we would board a couple days later was at that Cruise Terminal -- call it a 5-minute walk from the Hotel! Never mind that the hotel room was well kept -- clean, bathroom, et all. Could not have asked for more! Will definitely return!

Easy checkin at desk. Staff was very welcoming, efficient. Easy to park garage. Very nice indoor pool in basement with hot tubs . We enjoyed swimming. Also had good breakfast buffet.

Actually my room was changed to Grand Hotel Portoroz, and this review is about it, but all lately including Neptun are same owner

I liked the amenities and location of the hotel, and easy access to restaurants, shops and bus transportation to Piran and other neighboring towns.
