Cottages in Basse-Terre Island

"Malgré un environnement exceptionnel, nous avons passé une seule nuit dans le bungalow Madras au lieu des 6 nuits initialement réservées dans le bungalow Caraibes : une très forte odeur d'humidité et de moisissures prégnante (présence d'un deshumidificateur), oreillers moisis, sous taies moisies et très tâchées, serviettes de toilettes sentant la serpillière mal lavée, tapis de bains déchiré, draps douteux, alèse de lit très sale avec de multiples tâches et des déjections probables de puces...

The gite is just right for a relaxing holiday for a couple- quiet, comfortable, and well located for exploring the Deshaies area & west coast of Basse Terre. We particularly enjoyed walking the coastal trail from Deshaies north to Grande Anse & beyond to beaches to the north, and swimming/snorkelling at local beaches."

"This was the final stop on our journey (and our most anticipated). We stayed in Deshaies to experience the “Death in Paradise” primary filming location. The property was a little haven to rest, have coffee in the AM and just chill from a busy day. It was very comfortable, great showers (inside and outside), awesome eating space outside and wonderful owners. We did not use them, but also has a small private pool and hot tub. Both looked nice.
