"the bed was a sofa bed although the mattress was ok every time we moved it made load squeaking noise the large entrance gates were attached to our outside wall so every time they were used it felt like the wall was moving and a very loud banging noise some gest returned after midnight some left early about 6 Am the location we good, only a short walk to the restaurants, and near the steps to the chateaux there was free parking in the street"

"Very cosy appartement centrally in Saumur, close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Sited close to the Loire, there are plenty of things to do without a car, but the owners provided a safe parking space in a locked courtyard. Aliona and Benoît were wonderful hosts."

Our whole family was grateful and enchanted by both the town and the apartment; and the accommodations were practically convenient as well as charming. "Once you have mastered the 68 steps to the 3rd floor you enter a lovely apartment. The lounge/diner is spacious with beautiful views over the River. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and again beautiful views over the River. The kitchen is comparatively very small but has everything you need. This leads to the shower room/ toilet with a large shower cubicle and wash basin. All in all a lovely apartment that is only 3 minutes walk from a bustling square with many restaurants/bars to enjoy."

"Amazing value for money and location. Really well equipped apartments, spacious balcony and comfy beds. Kitchen didn't have any spare space for storing shopping to make the most of the self catering aspect, but we worked around it. Our apartment overlooked the car park but in fact, it was really quiet, not overlooked by other guests and our balcony had a grear view of the fortress."

"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...
