Riviera Beach Terrace: 1Bd apt w / splendid sundeck facing the beach
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the town of Menton, the living room and bedroom of this historic apartment, it's location at the best beach of Menton and one of the Riviera's best, and the hosts are superb. Menton is charming, picturesque and prosperous with very friendly and welcoming people. There are wonderful foods, many excellent restaurants and cute shops. Just remember that almost everything closes in the afternoon, and that most of the good restaurants are closed from Sunday afternoon until lunchtime on Tuesday. We solved this problem by shopping for delicious terrines, pates, cheeses, breads, fruit, premade food at Menton's market on Sunday morning. The living room and bedroom of the apartment are beautiful and have comfortable furniture. There is a nice dining table, or you can dine on the terrace overlooking the sea. There is also a small balcony. The air conditioning works well. The best thing about the kitchen is the large quantity of plates and the dishwasher. It's extremely small and not functional to actually cook in unless you are very short and don't mind a tiny room with no daylight. Although I usually do some real cooking on trips, we didn't mind because the quality of the premade foods and the restaurants is superb.Ask Catherine and Phillippe recommendations to restaurants and bakeries - we loved all their picks, and they'll kindly make reservations for you. They were very helpful hosts when there was a train strike on the day we left for Italy and they arranged a taxi."
"I really liked that the hotel is super accessible to the railway station, beach front and local shops and amenities. There was good air con and the bed was a good size double and very comfortable. The room had character with a marble fireplace, feeling airy with the high ceiling. While it was a small room with a very small bathroom, it served purpose perfectly. I was out a lot so just need a clean safe place to stay. I was a single lady travelling and felt very secure coming back after dark. On the last day my sink plug got stuck and the gentleman at reception was super helpful and friendly, remedying the issue quickly and courteously. The decor of other parts of the hotel from what I saw was cute and quaint. My room was tidied every day which was appreciated. An early check was fine as the chamber maid kindly took my key when I left. Merci!

"Excellent hotel with unbeatable views of the sea front. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and were even able to loan me a UK to EU charging adapter for my phone. Only downside is that the rooms have no fridge. Would be great if the hotel could offer these in select rooms in the future. :)"
Le Provençal Appt: Facing the beach & the turquoise sea. A/C, 5pers max.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay here in Menton. The apartment is in a perfect location with a great beach right in front and a one minute walk to the food market, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is a pebbled and large stone beach so you do need beach shoes and the padded mats supplied with the apartment but we loved it here and had lots of fun in the sea with its waves. There is a sandy beach around a 7 min walk from the apartment with a wide boarded promenade and calmer sea if you prefer though and both beaches have lifeguards. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of five and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the lounge was like a picture postcard of the Mediterranean and the 2nd bedroom looks out onto the Basillica. You can step out onto the balcony in the lounge which was a lovely surprise. The building itself is beautiful and we didn't mind the stairs at all, although did use the lift up to the second floor on arrival and departure with our luggage. The handover by Catherine was so informative and welcoming. We felt really safe in Menton and happy to let our teenage children have independence to go to the lifeguarded beach, shops and markets. We used the train to transfer to and from the airport and for sightseeing during our stay and it was so easy and affordable. Everywhere you look in Menton is a feast for the eyes with so much history and beauty. We will definately be back, this has been one of our favourite family holidays "
