I had a good stay at the YHA in Bath. The staff were helpful, and the facilities were clean. It was great to have an extra toilet in the dorm room. The bed was comfy and everyone in the dorm was considerate and kept noise levels down. The location is great for exploring Bath.
Bath YHA is set high on a hill just outside the city centre, but is well serviced by public transport. A beautiful, calming green space with nearby walks into town with breathtaking views. The staff were friendly and helpful, our private family room suited our purpose well, and the breakfast (extra cost) was decent. Would recommend the Bath YHA as a great budget option for exploring beautiful Bath.
We really enjoyed our stay at YHA Bath during the Jane Austen festival. Simone went above and beyond, giving us great recommendations for local restaurants, sights to see and how to get to places. She let us store our luggage before check-in and after check-out so we could explore the surrounding area. She even took photos for us when we got dressed up for the ball!
It was my first time staying at one of the YHA hostels in bath. Their service was great! They have a self catering kitchen and great food and meals daily. The rooms were very clean and it had a great view of the city. Highly recommend it. 10/10
Great views from property and surrounds. Good staff. Overpriced food and drink at house- TV dinner quality for restaurant prices and charges for everything. But clean room, good bed, and decent spot- overpriced for a hostel but every thing is in that town. Family- multigenerational friendly
Very nice stay. The hostel il clean and the staff is kind and helpful

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
My twin room was comfortable and clean. The shared toilet was also clean. It would have been good to have a comfy chair in the room. The steep spiral staircase to rooms 1 and 2 had to been negotiated with extreme caution. The lack off a hob in the self catering kitchen was a big negative in my view (just air fryers, one microwave, table top oven) with inadequate cooking vessels.

Older couple hostel stay.
Nice hostel for visiting Bath. Having meals available there was a big plus. Lots of families and older couples staying while we were there. No complaints.
Amazing view over Bath from this YHA. There’s a comfortable large lounge area as well as a big kitchen dining area where you can use microwaves to cook (there are no hobs.) very friendly, lots to do so returning in summer 😊
Nice stay. Love the picnic tables outside. Easy to park the car on the street. Well located ; approx. 25 minutes walking to city center, and next to a hill (5 min walk) to see the city and enjoy the sunset.
This was a nice place to stay and the staff was very accommodating especially when I lost my key card but it's a dorm at the end of the day and you're sleeping in the same room with a bunch of other guys. Facilities were well maintained and the falling of breakfast was pretty tasty but an extra cost
Great property with good facilities. Such a shame there is no parking on site. However there was parking on the main road nearby. Tried to book again but a lot more expensive which is a shame.
Its a nice hostel with reasonable pricing.
The location is not the best to get into the City since it's up on the mountain, but that means that it's incredibly quiet there! It's also good for hiking.
There is a communal cooking space, but we were surprised that there is no stove there. That means you can only cook with an oven or a microwave.
Plus: Warm and dry, and hot water in the showers. Also met some lovely people.
Cons: Some of the guests and staff are not so lovely. Some of the men were discussing their experiences with prostitutes in the kitchen (there were children in the room) and one of the guests in my dorm was trying to pick up arguments, talking very loudly, slamming doors etc. Another one was on the phone (in the dorm) until nearly 11pm. There were people drinking alcohol inside the hostel (not sure whether they bought it from the bar or not).
The location, while out of the main part of town, had a bus stop at the front driveway and the buses were really easy to use. Much easier than trying to drive in Bath. I didn’t have to wait long for the buses either, they seemed relatively frequent.
The bed was comfortable with nice views.
Mum and I stayed in seperate private rooms. Her room was quiet. I had some noisy neighbours near mine which was frustrating but to be expected when staying in a hostel.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The setting is beautiful with lovely views over Bath.
The kitchen facilities were excellent. Clean and had everything we needed.
Only thing that I wasn’t happy with was the laundry facilities. There was only one washing machine and dryer and they were not commercial grade… the washing machine had a ‘mixed’ cycle that was over 2 hours long. Having said that I was able to get my washing done and I was glad they had some facility for this.
I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely great stay and stunning location. We traveled as a group of friends and booked the private room. All the facilities and and service staff was just wonderful and welcoming. I would say the private rooms could be a little bigger in size but that's not a problem. Everything was clean and beautifully maintained. The priory itself was beautiful in and around the grouds. The kitchen and self catering area was great, spacious and well equipped with all utensils cutlery and multiple ovens. There is no induction or stove if anybody needs that detail. We were able to cook a lot of things in the ovens and kitchen space. Walk to the hostel from bath city centre is very scenic but it is quite uphill so i would not recommend walking with bags. Over all a great stay and highly recommended.
