"We had a great stay at the Red Front Suite! Host was great at communication and went above and beyond shoveling the walk way for us after an icy storm! Great place to stay to visit Nauvoo! "

"There are shops nearby. We were there during the off-season so most shops closed at 4 or 5. The room was clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. The room also had a microwave and a fridge. That was awesome for leftovers and early- morning breakfasts. The only concern was the hot water didn't seem enough for 2 people to shower. We had to wait about 15 minutes between people for more hot water. The best part of our hotel was it being walking distance to the Nauvoo Temple. Since attending the temple was a key reason for our trip, that proximity was awesome!"

"We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. This trip was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done. "

"A great apartment right on main street in Nauvoo. It wasn’t a problem and I didn’t think to contact the host, but we couldn’t figure out how to get the heater to work in the living/kitchen area but we were fine with the heat in the bedrooms. All went well! Thanks for a great place to stay!"

"We were four mid-seventies women. We requested 4 beds. In the pictures, it appeared that there was a queen size bed and 3 single beds. The one bed was a junior bed. There was a blow-up bed that had to be brought downstairs. It was a lovely old house, but not really age appropriate for us. There were throw rugs throughout the house, which was a tripping hazard. We found it difficult to find outlets to charge our phones, tablets and watches and the coffee pot. The notes were very helpful. We were a little concerned when it mentioned rodents. Luckily, we didn't see any. Overall, it was a charming house and we appreciated the antiques. "

"It is an older home as indicated in the listing, but it was very clean and well maintained. The host did great communicating and helped with our unique accommodations. The home is within walking distance to the temple, downtown, and the few restaurants that are in Nauvoo. The home also had a great history and story that was hanging on the wall which really made the stay extra special knowing what role it played in the history of Nauvoo."
