The house is set up perfect. Had everything we needed and more. Quiet as a mouse in the area it is located. You do have to drive on gravel about a mile or so but road is well maintained. We would definitely stay there again.
No complaints on anything. Owner very easy to get a hold of. Stayed here for deer season and it made it nice to be able to come and go with ease. I would definitely stay here again
Great location for seeing the sights in northwest Nebraska. Host is very responsive and friendly, right next door. Bathroom has been updated since the pictures, very nice.
The guest house was the perfect little get away, it was quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Clay was very accommodating and I would definitely recommend the guest house, to others, as a place to stay.
Perfect location for what we were looking for. Cabin was as listed and clean. Check in and out was a breeze and communication with the owners was easy. Would stay again next time
We loved staying at this place; it had everything we needed! The calm, quiet of country living but within minutes of town. Amazing views, clean and nicely equipped with necessities.
This home is in a nice, quiet location surrounded by farm land with a nice view of Chimney Rock. Clay was great at communicating and we really enjoyed our stay!
We stopped here on our way to MT and it was a great place to get some sleep and get out of the truck. They suggested Bobbi Jo’s Branding Iron for supper and it didn’t disappoint:) Thanks!!

very much enjoyed the property and the owners communication. caring and helpful owners
Cute bunk house in the middle of nowhere. Loved the fire pit, house was very clean, great communication with Clay. We travel to the area often and will book again.
We loved our stay at this 2 bedroom home surrounded by cornfields. The living room was huge, as was the kitchen. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at night, watching the sunset. It was extremely quiet and peaceful.
I did not realize that I would have to bring my own toilet paper,. The pots and pans weren't even good enough for the Goodwill. There was an over powering floralsmell

Cabin stay in Bayard
When I read the description, it said Scottsbluff. When I purchased the weekend it came up outside of Bayard. We spending most of our time in Morrill which was a considerable drive back and forth. The description needs to be more clear. We never would have rented so far away. When we pulled out the sofa bed there was a cigarette butt on the sheets, and when we started to remove the sheets a dead mouse fell out. I get out on farms there are field mice. I felt like before we got there things should have been checked. There was a big mouse nest on the dish towels in the drawer, along with mouse droppings. It lead us to believe that we were not comfortable using the dishes or pans. I feel like things should have been cleaned and checked before we got there. The nest was clearly seen as soon as we opened the drawer. I would not recommend this in the future.
"Stunning view of Chimney Rock" is an old farmhouse located on a farm outside of Bayard, NE, with the new house next door. Beautiful views of Chimney Rock and the nearby farmland. Several co-workers and I booked it for a short work trip in the area, and it was an affordable solution to our lodging needs.
Pros:
- Great and prompt communication from the host. Some soap etc was missing from the bathroom, and he quickly dropped some off
- Easy check-in/out process
- Great views, and peaceful location
- Nice deck and firepit out back
- Affordable cost
Unfortunately, I have to point out a few cons as well:
- The window in one of the bedrooms was broken. The top frame of the bottom panel of the window was completely missing, leaving a half inch gap to the outside across the entire window. We had to stuff a towel in there to keep out the heat and bugs. Additionally, the window shades were in bad shape. This is a big enough issue it should have been fixed, or at least disclosed prior to our stay.
- Only one wall unit AC in the house. Not the end of the world, but the bedrooms do get a bit warm. This could be improved by putting a couple fans in the house probably.
Overall, this house met our needs, but has some issues that should be addressed. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but a completely broken window should be addressed.
We were here for one night, on our way to Colorado, and really enjoyed our stay. The view of Chimney Rock at night was incredible, and as we are from EST, we were up early to see the sunrise, which was absolutely beautiful! Scott's Bluff is an easy drive from this place, and is well worth seeing. The home was very clean and comfortable, and we wished that we had more time to spend in the area. Thank-you for your hospitality!
