"I stayed here while in town for a work event at UCSD, which felt a bit odd with everyone around me clearly being in vacation mode, but hey, this place met the housing budget I had. Other than that dissonance, I had a really nice stay! I didn't nuse much of the hotel other than my room, but I really appreciated how spacious the room was; I also really appreciated access to a refrigerator and microwave. As a warning, if you're on the second floor you *will* have to haul all your stuff up some stairs, and parking in certain parts of the lot can get competitive. If you can stop at Marvelous Muffins on Shelter Island Dr., I recommend it - they have absolutely (and tasty!) huge breakfast croissant sandwiches that I got daily."
