Historic Corner Cottage - charming 3 bedroom walking distance to waterfront

  • The historic Windsor House is a quick walk to the seaside, shops, waterfront, restaurants, and ferry (just 2 blocks from Front Street), The front porch is a favorite to sit on the porch swing and rocking chairs... perfect for enjoying breezy evenings or mornings with the birds. The cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, to include a queen bed, double/full bed, and 2 twin beds. The 2023 remodeled kitchen is equipped with microwave, Keurig coffee maker (k-cup and drip pot), dishwasher, stove/oven, toaster oven, slow cooker, pressure cooker, refrigerator, pots/pans, dishes/utensils, and much more. The living room has 2 sofas, large Smart HDTV (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc), Wi-Fi and hardwood floors. The dining room table sits 6, and has two reading chairs. The utility room offers a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. There is a half bath off the master bedroom and a full remodeled 2022 bathroom. There is also an outdoor shower that is ideal for hot days and after fun at the beach. Saturday morning farmers market is just a stone's throw away.

Great base for exploring Beaufort

Home was great for our short trip to Beaufort - plenty of room for our family and dogs and easy walk to pretty much everything in town! We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect family vacation spot

We have stayed in this house multiple times, coming back year after year. Location is perfect. The house is amazing, and the landlords are wonderful!! Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful stay!

My husband, golden doodle & I stayed a week at the Windsor House recently. It was a great home, wonderful location and most responsive host. An especially nice touch was the plush beach towels for guests. We definitely will be back!

Cozy, Cllean & Convenient

The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and an easy walk to food and the waterfront. The beds were especially comfortable and the decorations are charming. Perfect fit for our family of four for an extended weekend. Would book again for future visits

I would have given this property 5 stars but the cleaning people showing up 40 minutes prior to our checkout was tacky at best. I asked for an early check-in and the host (who immediately responded and said that she would tell us when the place would be ready) ghosted us on check-in day.Other than that and the terrible gravel noise from the massive Beaufort water lines construction, this place was perfect. Small and quaint. The checkin process is great and the walk to everything is just a few blocks. I would recommend this place for sure! Very nice and priced fine. You will enjoy it if you are Beaufort Grocery fans like we are!!

Great location! Property had everything we needed and was convenient to everything. We especially loved the farmer’s market. The house is adorable! Owner is fast to respond and great to work with!

Very warm and comfortable, dog friendly, well stocked kitchen. We ate out alot because of walking distance to so many awesome restaurants. A little noisy on weekday fri from construction, but at night and weekend was great. We could see and walk to farmer's/crafts market on Saturday morning with great food too. Bought a few fall crafts. We love the old Beaufort cottages. Jessica was a great host and fast answering questions, we would stay again, thanks.

Fantastic location and very cute older home

The location is perfect and convenient to everything. Just a short little walk to all the places you want to go. We really enjoyed staying here. The home has all the amenities that you need and well stocked. It is an historic home so it is a little dated however, that is what we were looking for. Definitely would stay again! Owner is very attentive and stays in contact to make sure you are in need of nothing. Thank you!

Comfort and convenience!

House is well equipped and comfortable! Mattresses were great, house was clean, and kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the convenient location and the front porch swing! I only marked down listing accuracy by one star because it says spa/hot tub and there isn’t one. Probably just a vrbo error. We hope to stay here again!

Great Home

We were in the area visiting our son who is with the USCG at Fort Macon. I did not want to stay in Atlantic Beach or Moorehead City and fell in love with Beaufort during a visit in February. The location is perfect. It's two blocks to the water front and it's easy to get on the road to Morehead City. The area is a relaxed slow paced place surrounded by historical homes. The beds were perfect and the linens were top notch. I'm a bed snob. I highly recommend the home if a relaxed environment is what you are looking for.

A sweet cottage in a charming historic waterfront town

This lovely cottage was perfect for our stay. Although a smaller home, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us to comfortably enjoy our time there. The owner is fantastic & very responsive. The house has had updates that make it even more inviting, comfortable and aesthetically interesting. The location was very nice-2 blocks from the waterfront & shops. It is also not far from a gorgeously moody historical walled cemetery that is shaded by singing cicada filled live oaks that were just dripping with lacy fern fronds. The porch sitting was on point in the provided rocking chairs and porch swing. I wish we could have stayed longer in this little gem of a house! We plan to return again next season.

You really could not ask for a better location! Adorable historic cottage, perfect for a family of pirate-obsessed little boys. Just a short walk from Front Street, you’ll enjoy easy access to all the shops, restaurants, and historic museums Beaufort has to offer. Highly recommended!
