"This hotel is very well situated, the parking is a bonus and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The food was well cooked and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the age of the building and the reason why there was no lift but we struggled somewhat to lug two suitcases up to the top floor as our room was in the converted attic. The view from the room was great and the room itself was spacious, it could have benefited from a fridge and some of the roller blinds were broken which caused issue with opening and closing them. The room was noisy at night as the people next door were up a lot using the bathroom, every time they turned on the light the extractor fan would start up and we could hear it quite loudly in our room. Other than that all was fine. If you are staying in Beccles we would recommend the Waveney, great location and on the whole good."
