Beautiful views!

The house accommodated our extended family and the views were beautiful! Hosts live on the property and stopped by a few times and were very nice! Would definitely rent again!

Beautiful setting

Great views and place!

We felt at home and was comfortable during our stay. The home was clean and welcoming. I especially loved the thoughts given to guests with little ones such as the crib, high chair and toys!

What a View - Really Sums it Up!🌹

Perfect!!

We had a wonderful stay. House had everything we needed, roomy, and the views cant be beat. Hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Convienient to Bedford, Parkway, Peaks of Otter amd Lynchburg. A great getaway!!!

A beautiful property for a gathering

Great renovated farm house! I recommend!

We enjoyed our stay, very peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and supplied snacks! Kitchen was well furnished. The home was cozy and inviting. The only complaint was the upstairs was too warm, suggest they add an AC unit. I would definitely stay again!

Thank you Judy, Preston and Daryl for your hospitality, kindness and access to this simply amazing experience at your property over the 4th of July weekend.This was so much more than a getaway for my family. We were able to get together after several members experienced life altering health issues and it had been a number of years since we were all able to get together.This was a spiritual experience for my family. The peace, tranquility and sheer beauty of the property and the absolutely stunning views of the mountains and countryside surrounding us were above anything we could have imagined.We were blessed this weekend. Awesome place to experience some peace and quiet

Quick trip but it was an excellent get away. The fire pit on the back patio was an excellent place to sit, relax and just unwind. Secluded, but close enough to town if you need anything. House was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely would stay again.

Leave Your Troubles at Home and Enjoy the Mountain Views!

We loved the time in Bedford over the weekend. This was a great place to call home base for the area and big enough to have some family over for dinner. The views are fantastic and the owners are a pleasure to work with! Thank you so much for putting the Toddler bed up. It was adorable.

Perfect day for our wedding weekend

We recently had a wedding at Glass Hill wedding venue and this was an ideal location just miles away. We stayed there with our two adult children and their spouses and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the gracious accommodations. Everything was clean and as expected on the description. We highly recommend this venue.

Enjoyed our stay!

Welcoming home with gorgeous views. Well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Preston and Judy are very responsive hosts. My family of 5 stayed here for a weekend while attending wedding festivities nearby. It was a perfect place to relax and catch up with one another. We took advantage of the Blue Ridge Parkway being so close by and spent a morning at the Peaks of Otter.

truly beautiful property and view

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is big and clean and inviting. The decor is comfortable and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit ( gas ) and the back porch the most. We watched the sun set over the Peaks of otter and the sunrise from the front porch. The owner came over to say hello, and we talked a bit. He was very friendly. We will definately look to stay here again in the future.

A Little Slice of Heaven

The property was as advertised, very clean, spacious, wonderful front porch and a terrific patio with excellent views of The Peaks and the stars at night! Beds were very comfortable and we loved having the washer/dryer to use as we had been on the road for a week. We found some very nice restaurants in Bedford to include Azuls and also Liberty Station. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Graduation

Preston and Judy are delighful people. They responded to any question or need very quickly. Judy even grasciousy washed the pillowcase of a pillow that was left behind before we could get it the next day. The house was great and the view is spectacular!

Amazing views and farmhouse charm

This property was spacious and comfortable. The views of the Peaks of Otter and the other mountains around are spectacular. It was nice to sit on the patio and with the fire pit going and watch the sunrise on the mountains. Preston and Judy were wonderful hosts and a joy to visit with. And Preston has done a good job on the additions he has made to the house. My only complaint or concern is that there are too many personal knick knacks in the house that make it a little cluttered. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely consider staying again when in the area.

WONDERFUL

We were in town for a family wedding near Thaxton. The home was everything we needed for my wife and I and my son's family of 4. They used the upstairs and my wife and I had the master bedroom on the first floor. The property and view.......you can't ask for much more. There's a reason is name is "What A View". Very, very nice. The location worked just wonderful for us. 25 minutes to the wedding near Thaxton, 10 minutes to Bedford and 20 minutes to wonderful hiking at Peaks of Otter. Thank you Preston and Judy.

Wonderful escape for family

This lovely farmhouse provided a wonderful escape for our family to meet up with our VA Tech Hokie son. Only 2.5 hours from Richmond and 1.5 hours from Blacksburg, this rental house offered a perfect getaway. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large well-equipped kitchen, family room with plenty of seating, dining rooms, and porches it provided ample space for our group of 6 to spread out and relax. The house is within a 35-minute drive of Natural Bridge and Devil's Marbleyard hike. Only 10 minutes to the quaint town of Bedford with nice shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Also quite a few nearby wineries and apple picking. While the weather did not cooperate for us to do much outdoors, we had a great time just playing games and hanging out in the farmhouse. Great views! Wonderful owners - we enjoyed meeting the Prestons. We will return!

Lots of space with beautiful mountain view!

My family of 5 (kids - 5, 3, 1) had a wonderful stay at this property. Bedrooms for everyone, fully equipped kitchen and even baby gear on hand! The location was perfect for us. 15-20 mins.to Peaks of Otter. Nicely situated between Roanoke and Lynchburg (awesome children's museum). The furnishings are dated but the price more than accommodates that. An FYI, we had a lot of rain while we were there and it was very loud in the upstairs rooms right under the roof. My oldest daughter had to move downstairs and sleep in with our toddler because it was too loud for her. But we came to Virginia from Atlanta for the mountains. And this house delivered! The view is terrific! And it's so peaceful.

Stunning setting; functional adaptions house

It is impossible to overstate the views of and from this home. The Peaks of Otter from the simple but excellent back patio. And more. Absolutely nothing unpleasant in any direction. The house is highly functional and has a country home vibe. Nothing really modern but quality is fine. Equipped with everything we needed. We were especially impressed by the heating system. The hosts live nearby and farm parts of the surrounding area, so are plenty accessible. One suggestion: we did not find a house book with details, instructions, suggestions. For example, we did not figure out the dvd player (chose not to ask) and the WiFi information was confusing and even contradictory. But these were very minor things in an overall terrific package.

We love this house. It's nostalgic of Grandmas farm house, it's clean and comfortable. It's sits on a quiet hill with amazing views of the mountains. The owners are very sweet, and let our kids fish in the pond at the bottom of the hill.
