"The good breakfast was stop on. Good quality and well cooked. Very friendly staff. The hotel needs a good clean and refresh - everything was a bit dirty. This was a real shame because this place has so much potential. Charge a bit more and get the standards up. Parking is not a problem - very cheap pay for parking a two minute walk await. Good selection or draft in bar. Some nice restaurants within walking distance."

"This was our second time at the cottage, which was just as fabulous as the first time. Cottage was cosy and warm, with lots of quirky features. We felt as if we were staying in a friend's cottage - all the equipment we could have needed in the kitchen was provided. A great visit - highly recommended."

"October Cottage is a pretty thatched property, the sitting room is cosy and comfortable, kitchen well equipped, large bathroom, we slept well on the comfortable beds. The negative points are the mixer shower on the bath has no screen or curtain, and the stairs are narrow with a sharp twist, there is a handrail to grip but it is a bit loose. The surrounding countryside is delightful, there is a large Tesco store in Tidworth a short drive away, but if eating out, the food and welcome at The Barleycorn in Collingbourne Kingston, 8 minute walk from the cottage, are highly recommended.October Cottage met all our needs."
