"The man who checked us in didnt have great customer service skills, but we didnt have any issues upon check in. The room was fine. Not large but we were just staying 1 night. The woman at breakfast was wonderful, however! We were there during a very low guest ratio and she offered to make us omelets since they didn't have any join food available. She was very friendly and breakfast was definitely adequate!"

"I stayed for 3 nights on business. The bed and pillows were great. I enjoyed the pool and hot tube too. The breakfast was very nice but it started at 7am. I would like to see them start the breakfast by 6am for us business travelers who are out the door by 7am."

"The Depot is conveniently located and a great place to stay! It was clean, spacious, all the amenities and lots of parking.Check-in was a breeze. Looking to grill, but don’t want to miss the game, news, or game show? No problem, there is a TV outside next to the grill. Kids want to play games? Send them to the Golden Tee arcade. As others have mentioned the trains are close and loud. In our stay it seemed like more Fri night than Sat, but I don’t know if that holds in the future. Would definitely stay again!"

"The property itself is basic lodging—no pool, game room, fitness center, etc., which is fine with me. It’s clean, quiet, comfortable, safe and inexpensive. The room was bigger than I expected. The free breakfast was also more than I expected to get. The desk staff provided rags to wipe the dew off my motorcycle. The property is kitty-corners from a Culvers and it is easily walkable. There are other places nearby that weren’t open Sunday night. I would definitely stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The view was beautiful, and the garage space was perfect for our teenagers. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the back porch during a light rain storm, and taking a walk in the beautiful neighborhood. However, there were a few things that would have made it better. *The bedroom door didn't fully latch to close. *I was under the assumption that we would be able to get closer to the river to fish on the property, but the landscape was too overgrown. We were able to find a good public fishing spot about 1 mile down the road.*There was an odd smell that we couldn't locate until the last day. We found a dead mouse in the trash can under the bag."

"The property was spacious and comfortable. We love the vault door to the laundry room. The sofa and bed were very, very comfortable all of them, and it was a well laid out kitchen for a former small town bank. We would highly recommend it. If you love trains and barges on the Mississippi river and a small town community feeling, this is the retreat for you."
