"We had an ocean front suite that was immaculate inside, just needs some door seals to prevent the on shore breeze mixing with the foul stench of sargasm, the workers worked hard every day trying to clear it all. We loved relaxing on the jetti on the loungers, shame they didn't have one section to fish off of, no fishing allowed on their jetti, although you could just stand in the sea if need, as its really shallow. Food was excellent, i just wished they wouldn't light the fire pit when the wind was on shore, filled the restaurant with smoke. house reef/snorkel was rather dull, recommend they take their guests somewhere slightly better. "

"Good and Friendly staff. However, I don't think exploiting guests via transportation fees is good value add and should be regular practice. A good hotel and service should indeed do otherwise, as we are in your care. Charging 40usd for a trip that took 10mins to walk is very unfair. Also, please ensure bedsheets are clean, having dirty bedsheets isn't a good look for a hotel that should be a luxury hotel "

"Overall the hotel is good. Staff were all amazing and always wanting to help, however they fell flat in some areas. We had an amazing ocean view from our room and the beach was great but the fact that we couldn’t swim off the beach directly was disappointing and frustrating since the pictures online made it appear that you could. The bar onsite was only open for breakfast and for happy hour only. Wished it was open all day, maybe more people would hang out at the hotel if it was. There was a pop up bar that opened between the pool and the beach which was great but it was only for one day out of the 8 that we were there. Cleaning staff were all very nice but cleaning of the rooms was very basic. Floors were not cleaned, bed was poorly made, bathroom was barely done. We heard it was getting better because of new management and I think it will as long as there is someone strong running it. "

"The property is beautiful but I feel as though the cost does not match the experience. The pool is basic and average. They advertise their private beach but made it difficult to access. They were having engine problems with their boat and didn’t properly communicate the wait time so I waited time waiting patiently just for them to admit that they would not be able to take me over there. The manager never really had answers for any questions/issues happening on the property. The wifi on the property didn’t work during my stay. "

"Great property and staff! 1st time my husband and I had been to Belize, and we knew from other reviews we would need a golf cart from this location. It was about a 15-minute golf ride into the heart of San Pedro. Most restaurants are in San Pedro, so plan on a golf cart. This location makes the trip to Secret Beach shorter. That's a must-see as well (Blue Bayou restaurant!). Room was very nice and clean, cleaning crew came every day, did laundry if you needed (there is a locked laundry room in each of the units). 2 pools and hottub - great. Couple things that could have been better - construction next door everyday (the resort is expanding) heads up from the resort would have been nice. The listing for the resort says you have access to work out facility, kayaks, bikes and onsite restaurants. The restaurants are in the "sister resort (much bigger), which were expensive and not good. The kayaks and bikes are also there on the ocean side; the bay would have been perfect for kayaking, but that wasn't possible. The workout facility seemed to be for the owners of the condos.... You didn't have access, so you had to search for a security guard to let you in. Sunset Caribe was in the process of expanding, so there was construction with a new building going up the whole time we were there - not very peaceful. All-in-all, really a great spot despite a few things I would have changed. "

"This particular location was great. However, the entire Western side of San Pedro seemed to be a bit of a joke to me. There is really no access to the beach nor is there great swimming from the beach from any place on that local. We went to secret beach one day and saw that yes, there is good swimming from the beach on that side of the island but the east side should also have the access in order to enjoy that much tourism. Why do people come here without having great ocean access from the beach? For me, Costa Rica, and many of the other locals in Central America, are the right places to go if you just want to hang out and sit on the beach and go into the ocean from your location. I do have to say that the people in Belize are awesome and it’s so nice to be able to speak English in a country where there are multiple languages that people understand. I would also note that the scuba diving and snorkeling in Belize is awesome! "

"The staff is amazing, rooms amazing, and the vibe is amazing. I would definitely return. Restaurant is very good as well, pretty much farm/ocean to table. Highly recommend Captains dinner for an authentic Belizian experience and the avacado toast at breakfast! "
