"Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. "There was an issue with the booking. The landlady brought me supper, while she fixed the problem. She invested the extra effort to ensure my stay was a comfortable as possible. This location is central, and they have a laundry service. I recommend!!"

"Julie and Gary are very friendly. Upon checking in, Julie gave us a quick tour of the town and showed us the good places to eat. She provides us beach towels for our ATM tour and is available thru whatsapp calls. The apartment is clean and has a lovely view of the river. Their house is very close to the heart of San Ignacio- less than 10 minutes of walking. I highly recommend it."

"Waking up to this view outside of our villa was unbelievable. Our villa had everything we could’ve asked for from the a/c, cookware, fridge and microwave we couldn’t ask for anything more. The staff (Hector) was so accommodating to our every need and provided us with tons of information about the area. If you’re looking for a quiet beautiful place to stay I highly recommend this villa. Pictures are exactly as the villa looks and everything is updated."

"Other than being a little further out of town than I thought this place was perfect. IZ the host was amazing and was there to help me in anyway that we needed. I had my mom and dad with me and my four kids. Everyone felt safe and everything was perfect. I highly recommend this property. You won’t regret it."

"The state was amazing. I stayed in the last suite, and it was beautiful. I loved the sunrise in the morning, and all I can say is that it was worth every penny. It's the best place to stay by far because of the value you're getting. The food is a little pricey, but you'll be fine if you stick to the local dishes."

"This place was next to everywhere we wanted to be!! The staff was amazing !! Pablo made sure everything we needed we had. The rooms were not too much island vibes all the way. VERY COMFORTABLE SPACE. Only negative I could see was the bed had a dip in it in the middle but my man loved it .. smh. This was the get away we needed and they absolutely made it happen. Definitely going back. Thank you to the team."

"I loved staying here! They were so friendly and were really helpful with transportation to and from the ferry/plane. They also booked our Tropicair return flight! They have a cute little restaurant on site that is very good for breakfast lunch and dinner. They do a great job at cleaning the beach area too. "

"We had a great stay at Jan’s. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Split. The rooms are nice and there is a small roof top terrace for guest use. It is a short walk away from wherever you want to go on the island. There is a small private beach area we did not use because of the sargrassum which is prevalent tho the Caribbean. We had a couple of great meals: The first at Pasta per Caso and the second at Barefoot Caribbean."
