Short Getaway!
The Shady Haven Tiny Cabin 1, was exactly that. She sat in the shade with a perfect view of the river. Inside was just as cute as could be with a FULL SIZE shower. She was a comfortable little place for us to get away and relax for a couple of days.

Memories for a lifetime
This was our first tiny home experience! I (being mom) stayed here for three nights with my three teenagers (16, 15, 14 yrs old) for our annual mom and kid trip. We brought one large suitcase and utilized that as our dresser which fit very nicely into the storage under the stairs. I brought condiments that I knew can be priced more in rural area grocery stores and purchased our main meal items at the in town grocery store (which is about a mile walk from the cabin). There was a binder full of information regarding the home and town. We caught Gar, Bass, and Pike right off the stairs from the cabin. Caution...if you cast right off the stairs to the middle about 30-50 yds, you're going to lose your sinking lures...but don't worry, a 30 some drive minute drive brings you to Walmart and Dick's in Dubuque to replenish what you lost! We are amateur fishers! The beach with chairs/umbrella made for amazing mornings and evenings watching the barges and pelicans. All in all, this tiny home was absolutely everything I could have asked for to create amazing memories with my growing children. I felt safe and secure for my children/self, belongings and with Iowa weather. It was clean, fresh and beautiful. We absolutely hope to come back again and I would even like to take a few days alone to decompress here. This town and site are beautiful beyond measure. Great site and host!

Mississippi River getaway
My family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 12 and 14) had a great time at Dan’s place - we stayed 4 nights. The tiny house is so cute and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (really appreciated the AC on the 90 degree days we were there!) We rented the pontoon boat for one great day on the river- spent the whole day- and also spent some time checking out the Bellevue state park and went tubing in Maquoketa. Dan is an excellent host and takes wonderful care of this place. We’ll be back!

I couldn’t have asked for more!
The property was absolutely perfect for myself and my dogs. In the future, I plan to rent both units for a week of girls weekend fun. Maximum of four people is just perfect! Despite all that wonderful Ness, I suffered a tragedy the second day I was there when one of my dogs got off of his leash and ran off and was hit by the train. The property owner, Dan, was so kind and understanding, truly caring, and gave me an extra night stay at a discounted rate so I could ensure I would have my dogs ashes to take home with me. This was bittersweet for me. But a wonderful experience during an extremely difficult time. I am grateful. I highly recommend.

Peaceful and Scenic Getaway
My mom and I stayed here for some quiet R&R while shopping and antiquing in the area. The cabin is super clean and has the essentials for a simple stay - cooking tools, coffee, soaps and linens. The view is lovely, right on the water, just as pictured. There is a second tiny cabin next door for rent if you want to bring more friends. Chairs for lounging in front of the cabin, a picnic table, a fire pit, and a bbq are all provided. 'Glamping' items include flushing toilet and shower connected to city water/sewer, air conditioning, Roku tv, internet and Google home assistant. Bellevue is quaint with a lovely river walk and benches for enjoying the scenery. However it has only a few restaurants - so if you don't like to cook, plan on driving a ways to get your meals. I found one diner/cafe, a burger/bar establishment and an ice cream shop. Only the burger/bar place was open late. I highly recommend this property if you're looking to spend some time on/near the river.

Great River Town Getaway
The location and town were wonderful. The property and amenities were as described. It would be a tight squeeze for 4 adults, but 3 adults or 2 kids (6+) and 2 adults would work. We had a great view of the river/riverboats and felt very secluded. Walking distance to restaurants and brewery and short drive for some hiking.
